First of all, I must preface this review by stating that I have stayed at this location before, and at MANY Best Westerns in both Canada and U.S.A. I, in fact, spent a nice quiet Christmas at this hotel about 8 years ago. The property has aged a wee bit in the last decade. And the clientele that the lower price point of this property attracts somewhat distracts from the stay. I was only staying here for 3 nights until my timeshare condo was ready in Palm Desert.

PROS:

Hot breakfast, cooked to order and INCLUDED for free with your hotel stay. This was a very nice bonus. There are also FREE newspapers available in the lobby, another nice perk.

The rooms are average, with all having a balcony/patio. There is a small refrigerator in each unit, coffee maker, and a safe. Unit was clean.

Location in central Palm Desert is nice. There is a Ruth Chris steak house across the street (extremely expensive yet very good). There is a Del Taco restaurant a 2 minute walk away, also.

CONS:

There were very drunk and unruly guests below our suite (they did not appear to be tourists-just unruly contract trade workers who enjoyed fighting and getting very loud as they imbibed themselves with copious amounts of alcohol). This was very unfortunate, as the hotel is designed as a courtyard, and the noise really travels.

The internet did not work and we reported this. To the credit of the hotel management, they did make attempts to fix it, but only with very minimal bandwidth, in spite of the wifi receiver being very close to our room.

I would stay here again only if the price was very favorable and the stay was short.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Hotel is in a good location. If you have a car then it's centrally located. El paseo shopping is just the street behind the hotel. Lots of places to eat around hotel since hotel doesn't have a restaurant. They do serve a warm breakfast which was nice!! Free parking and wifi is available also.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus in Palm Desert in Feb., 2013, and we loved the place. It was quiet, very clean, and excellent in every way. Our free breakfast was cooked to order (pancakes, eggs, hash browns, bacon, etc.) The pool area was perfect for us, and every room has a balcony or outdoor patio. When we checked in, we were given an upgrade of room, too. The flowers and shrubs were so lovely. Everything was better than we expected for the price we paid.

The staff were friendly and the price was economical. It's located in a perfect place where all the good restaurants are. We felt safe because the area is very nice there.

I would definitely stay there again!

I was in town two nights for business and was pleasantly surprised with my stay. I'd waited too long, it was coming into tourist season (February), and there were two conventions in town, so I was lucky to get a room. Unfortunately, it was the access room and everything was low, but nice. The breakfast was very good and included in the room price. The hotel is located on highway 111 but it was very, very quiet. I'd stay here again.
