“Fun day for the kids...... Great pool and facilities”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

We're here on vacation and our rental house has a nice pool but we thought it would be nice to bring the kids here for the day. We were going to go to Soak City but they aren't open until the weekend so the kids needed to wait until the weekend to go to Soak City.

The kids were disappointed the slides weren't open yet but they still had a lot of fun. They have several different pool areas. The slide area, several lanes of lap pool for people to swim laps and a shallow kids pool.

They have several chairs and umbrellas to use as well as some tables with shades above. It is especially great with very young toddlers. The kids had a lot of fun. They don't allow floats of your own. We had arm floats for our kids who are still learning to swim and they said we couldn't use them and instead rented out float suits for $2 each.

The entrance fee was affordable at $6 for each adult and $3.75 for kids 5 and under (non-residents). There weren't many people there. Just a few people taking swimming lessons for their kids. Kids 6-12 are $4.50 each.

The staff there is very friendly and there is always a lifeguard on duty. There is plenty of free parking in the parking lot. I great place to spend the day with young kids. Or even for adults that want to do some laps.

They had several bathrooms there and they were clean. And they also had a shower in them. So if you wanted to head out after the day to go eat, you can bring soap/shampoo and shower and go directly to where you want to go if you didn't want to go back to your hotel/rental first.

“Palm Desert Aquatic Center”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2013

This is a fun and inexpensive place to take the kids and grandkids. Although you cannot bring your own food into the Center the snack bar is reasonably priced and they do have healthy choices. I have always found that the employees, whether they be lifeguards or behind the counter help, to be pleasant and efficient.

“Great facility”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

Beautiful facility for all. I stopped by to swim laps and I am not as fast as most swimmers so I stayed in the first lane with a couple of other slow pokes. 50 meter lap pool was pretty full, one swimmer was a little upset that the other swimmers were not following the circle pattern rule but he was able to get in the swim of things rather quickly.

“Fantastic facility ~ a lap swimmers dream!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

LOVED the Aquatic Center. For only $3.00 per day you can lap swim and enjoy the lap pool and pool with diving boards. Great place to take the kids for an afternoon. There is a concession stand for snacks and soft drinks Great location and was easy to find. Very clean and well maintained. Will definitely return on my next visit!

“Beautiful pool”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

I swam laps here while staying at a conference. This is a fantastic pool. I called ahead to see about lap lane availability and was told might have to circle swim. Hah! Not a chance. Lots of empty lanes, crystal clear water, and great wave reduction system (infinity edge). If you are a swim junky and happen to be staying in Palm Desert and have to get your laps in, do not miss this pool.
