We stayed here because it was close to the relatives. The location was the best thing about it. It was just ok, nothing special. Did not have a kitchenette even tho it is advertised. The shower dripped. The bed was really hard and the mattress cover had some kind if plastic on it.

We just loved our room and loved the people. It was exceptionally clean, very retro with large spaces. The service was impeccable and we felt like we were part of the family. If you are looking for a reasonable rate for a place to stay in Palm Desert than stay at The Mojave. The location is perfect with the finest restaurants and shops on El Paseo in walking distance!!! Thanks to Mashed Potatoes and the staff - you were the best. Patti and Dawn

This is a decent, no frills place to stay, which is a little pricey for what you actually get. I think the Mohave "Resort" is an ostentatious name for what is essentially a motel with a pool and spa. The rooms are simply but tastefully furnished in mid-century style, and, typical of an older motel, the bathrooms are small, but adequate, and the A/C is noisy. The place itself is relatively quiet, but, since most of the rooms are around the pool area, it is only as quiet as the noisiest children using the pool. We were woken on Sunday morning by a homeless person talking to himself and going through the garbage storage container right outside our window. We stayed in an "oversized" room, which was set back a little from the pool area. The armchairs have certainly seen better days and could stand to be reupholstered. While the resort's website talks of private patios, they are hardly private, since this amounts to two chairs and a small table outside each room, which are in full view of everyone else. The Mojave is conveniently located for El Paseo shopping and dining.

What a quiet and peaceful place...
Warm and efficient check in, very large room. Few things could be improved, as a flat screen TV and a quieter AC. The noisy AC is terrible, specialy during the night.
But this is a nice place, with a friendly staff.
Location is good. Strangely, the Wifi is stronger during the day, and very weak during the night...

We have stayed here several times over the last five years, all during December, so this was our first summer stay (late May). I was worried about the air and if it could stand up to the PS heat--it could and we slept like babies. This is still the ultimate in time-tripping, albeit with 400 count sheets and top of the line bath products, with that retro 50s motel look with the rooms situated around a pool and spa. We will keep going back, now including summers in our plans.

Wonderful place to stay. Nice pool right outside your door. Kid friendly but not noisy. Friendly staff and nice grounds to sit and sip wine. Some rooms have simple kitchenette and were very clean and airy. It now on my list of favorite places to stay in Palm Springs!

With all the overpriced breakfast buffets and cabana rentals and golf and glitz in the Palm Desert area, it's great to find a place that's just cool and laid back. The Mojave has a great mid-century modern look, and doesn't feel renovated so much as preserved. The sparse, mature landscaping only adds to the sense that you've stepped through a portal to 1967. The staff is very friendly, but nearly invisible; there's no "service" to speak of, but that's part of what makes it so relaxing. Plus, it's a two minute walk to Keedy's, the best breakfast in the desert.
