I loved this cute cafe! The Croque Madame was excellent! It was the perfect lunch place, reasonably priced and had a great pastry selection. I definitely will return!

“Outstanding French pastries & cakes, great dinner as well”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

Had the almond and pistachio-chocolate croissants as well as the Madagascar (orange-chocolate mousse cake): supremely flavorful. As a point of reference, we are in constant search for the best French fare both in France (e.g., Provence this summer) and San Francisco area where we live (where there are quite a number of really good French bakeries). This bakery is right up there with the best that we have ever tasted. The cakes are so beautifully decorated we thought they could not be possibly flavorful as well but boy, were we wrong: the layers of exquisite flavors delighted in rapid succession. Decided to check out their dinner too: we had escargot served with an amazing concoction of butter, herb, garlic, and cheese, a perfectly cooked duck salad, fillet of sole, & filet mignon. Food was low key in terms of presentation but very flavorful & reasonably priced for the portions. Wow, what a great find. Looking forward to tasting their wonderful creations again when we come back to Coachella Valley!

“Heaven Revisited!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2012

The first time we ate here we stumbled upon this tiny restaurant looking for a quick brunch before shopping2 years ago...we decided to try it again on this trip...WOW is all I have to say. Consistently good and great service. Our party had the eggs benny, creamed spinach eggs benny, creeps and fesh fruit...and as completely satisfied as we were we still wanted to try some of their desserts so we came back and ordered some for our Christmas dinner. Do it..you will not be disappointed.

Recommendations:
Mcaroons-pistachio, lemon, strawberry and chocolate. Pistachio our favorite.
Buche de Noel
Madagascar
The Croissants--OMG-absolutely delicious! And that was only the plain we tried.

We will get in one more stop before our stay is over.

“Consistantly good!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

We sometimes forget this little cafe is so close to home.
It is friendly, fair priced and consistantly good.
Lovely french pasteries, all home made right there.
Menu items for lunch / dinner just right.

“Great Lunch!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2012

Stopped for lunch and really enjoyed our meals. The Nicoise (sp?) salad was tasty and ample and my crepe was lovely. Lots of flavor with a beautiful presentation. The staff were attentive, and the decor is bright and airy. Will be back to sample more of the menu items!
