“Great for it's purpose”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

We had never stayed at a Homewood Suites property before, and we were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. If you're traveling with family or pets, it's tough to beat. The included breakfast was great, there is a park across the street from the hotel AND a dog park within walking distance. Staff is very friendly and helpful, the room is mostly quiet and very comfortable. I say mostly quiet as the air conditioners are like jet engines--probably great in the summer heat, but man are they LOUD. One side note--as it happened, we had three folks in our party with different cell/hot spot plans: Sprint, AT&T and Verizon. Not the hotel's fault, but it is located in a cell dead zone for Sprint and AT&T. Verizon was ok, Sprint was roam only, AT&T was Edge--no 3 or 4G. So if you're planning on using either Sprint or AT&T forget about data access and rely only on the hotel's excellent WiFi. All in all, in similar circumstances, traveling with family and pets, we'll be back!

Had a lovely few days in the desert, hotel in a great location. Andy on reception is the happiest man on earth-really helpful, lovely time to visit in the 80s but not so hot you cant shop!!! Breakfast is limited but is free, we only took it on the first morning but it does what it says on the tin...evening reception was busy with work men but we had a couple of beers which were free, very few children around which for us was nice- we had been in LA and hotels were full of badly mannered screaming running children and very angry parents. Dont get me wrong i have children but i have rules when they are in public and the children in LA didnt have rules! Rooms beautiful-clean-shower big n powerful. This hotel was the host for our second honeymoon and the kitchen allowed us to cook our anniversary meal.Ill be back-Thank you- Andy your a star x

Room Tip: We got a pool view as Andy says rooms looking over the road can hear the traffic- I slept well and I...

Lovely all-suite hotel on the outskirts of Palm Desert, very quiet and peaceful, but not far from the city's shops and restaurants.

Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our suite was large, spotlessly clean, had very comfortable beds, and views of the mountains and desert. No traffic noise at all. Full kitchen including freezer, dishwasher and two-ring hob. Good choice of hot and cold items at breakfast. Comfortable guests' lounge area. Lovely pool, spa and patio area in a central courtyard, great for relaxing.

This is an excellent choice for both long and short stays - we had only one night and wish we could have stayed longer!

Recently passing through on way to PHX and was looking for hotel that would accept our small dog. The people at this hotel were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful room and very clean and comfortable. Many places wanted to charge for our dog and this hotel didn't charge us any additional fees. We don't allow our dog on bed and we have a carrier for her to sleep in so it was nice not to be charged that extravagant additional fee. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Would recommend this hotel for anyone, whether you have a pet or not.

We stayed here recently as we were looking for a suite hotel near Palm Springs and didn't want to stay in a large resort. This location worked out well for us. The staff was really nice, especially the guy working the front desk-he was always cheerful and pleasant. Breakfast was good. We did the managers reception one night and it was decent. We were on the first floor and it wasn't noisy-we did hear a little ceiling noise but nothing major. Suite was a little smaller than what we had in Oxnard (same company) but still nice.

Stayed here for a weekend while attending a wedding in town. I must say that I made the right choice. Very friendly and caring staff. Room was clean, smart and comfortable. Breakfast was provided and plentiful. Did not have any issues whatsoever. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks for making my stay perfect

Stayed at this hotel with our daughter who was running in a triathlon. The room was perfect for us. It was nice to have a kitchen on Sat night when we ate pizza. The rooms were big enough to store her bike. Very pet friendly. Our dog enjoyed the trip as much as we did.

Room Tip: Being by a side door made it easier with the dog.
