“Amazing Views!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2014 via mobile

We were very surprised at our room here. We are used to hotels embellishing their pictures so we didn't expect the view we received. Right on the ocean with panoramic views, that we amazing. We were able to enjoy the sunset and watch the suffers catch some waves with amazement.

The value was great and reasonable with the options of things to do close by. Mind you this is not The Ritz it's clean safe and comfy. And the price is right.

ENJOY!

We had a jr suite on the water. Room was large and very comfortable. Waves crashing on beach all night. The best Best Western I have stayed in. I do recommend checking out the room before you check in. The first room was ocean view but had a parking lot below balcony. Service was great. Joe the front desk manager was very nice and accommodating. We will be back. The bowling alley up the road was fun too.

Stayed here for four nights for business and pleasure. Stayed in a junior suite with double windows facing the crashing waves. Double vanity outside the bathroom was very handy. Beautiful scenery, great staff and very clean. Great linens and decor. Would definitely stay there again. Beautiful sunsets and lots to do in the vicinity.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade to a suite and be sure to join the rewards program before checking in. Definitely...

This hotel is in a fantastic position with the Pacific Ocean at its doorstep however the first room I was given smelt of mould and was extremely unpleasant and overlooked a small pool and spa with extremely noisy children in it. However, on request I was given a room in another wing. This room had a connecting door to another room which at 10.30pm a group of people tried extremely hard to open. The walls are certainly not soundproof and so a move to the third room was necessary. The staff were extremely helpful and I was then given a lovely large room on the third floor facing the sea. Unfortunately on opening the sliding door there was no balcony only a railing which the people in the room next door felt it was good to sit on and talk, so I could not leave my door open at times. This room was a lot quieter than the previous one and did have a great bed, many pillows, a big flat TV, iron and ironing board, another coffee machine (still looking for green tea!!), a couch and a good desk and chair for when I had to do my paperwork. At 11.15pm the next night, another group of people spent sometime banging on and trying to use their key card on my door and as the doors to the rooms are quite thin and have a large space underneath them one did not feel totally secure after this. Internet was Free (WIFI).

Rooms are very old and overpriced. The staff was pleasant. For the price there were no extras like breakfast. All this hotel has going for it is a view of the beach. Even that was looking over a roof top.

The sound of the ocean will put your mind at ease. Excellent location; close to hiking along the cliffs and beach, along with wonderful restaurants within 10-15 minutes. Elevator is slow, so recommend using the stairs.

Extremely happy with hotel. Great beds and bedding - the robes were a very nice touch. Size of room, bathroom and veranda was excellent!!! The beach was just the icing on the cake! I would certainly stay here again and recommend this hotel.
