“Want Seafood - this is "THE" place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

My cousin recommended Nick's - we were very pleased with our experience (actually experiences- breakfast, lunch and dinner) as well as a going to the bar.
The food was excellent- you have to their "Dungeness Cracked Crab" - it is a real treat- excellent. For supper they offered a 16 oz. fresh lobster tail and a steak which was outstanding. All our food was excellent. Their staff is excellent and made you feel welcome. It was great to look out at the ocean from the restaurant.
We went for a drink at their bar- they had live entertainment and the group was excellent- very talented.- good dancing floor.

“Great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

Right on the rocks with the surf splashing up. They have delish sea food dishes. A little pricey. Gets very busy, very early.

“OK but pricey”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013

The menu is extensive, with an emphasis on seafood, but I still had trouble selecting my meal because the food combinations seemed a little strange - "Linguini Marinara with meat ball" for instance - or run of the mill, such as the various burgers.

So I opted for a broiled salmon which had too much butter sauce (does salmon even need a butter sauce? Probably not) and some basic vegies, and the fish tacos which were very nice though they seemed to have doubled up on the soft taco shells so I had four when two were sufficient.

The staff were pleasant and the food - and drinks - came out fast enough. But they opened the blinds as the sun was coming down and when the lady at the table next to mine complained that the sun was in her face, the waiter told her what did she expect, it's sunset! Sure, but she didn't open the blinds...

Anyway, my three course meal with a glass of wine and coffee was $52 plus tip, which seemed a touch steep for what was pretty straightforward food.

“great location, good food but too noisy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

Reserved a table for two overlooking the ocean at 19:30 so we can watch the sun set into the pacific ocean.
We got the table 20 minutes late, almost missed the sunset.
The waiter was very professional and efficient .
The food was excellent, we had ministrone soup and clam chowder, my wife had linguini with meat balls and I had salomon gril.
We had all the right ingredients for a romantic dinner, but the place was so noisy we could hardly hear each other.
To sum up, if acustics can be improved it is the ultimate place for a romantic dinner.

“Not my kind of place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

the crab sandwich was very good per my husband, but I did not like the ambience. ALthough on the ocean, the facilities were dark and uninviting. Needs updating.
