“Best location and great hosts for your stay in Paciic Grove.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

This trip brought my kids and my grandchildren. There was plenty of room or all, I got three rooms next to each other. Home away from home. Continental breakfast for all was a good start for the whole family. Tha staff treated us very good and made us feel like family. Will come back again and my daughters and there familys say they will start staying there too. We all mainly walked everywhere or rode our bikes to all of Montery Bay and Pacifis Grove attractions and eaterys. Would recommend Lovers Point Inn to all. Location,Location,Location!!!!!
Our family will be back next year for easter vacation.....

Having decided to make all the way from Yosemite to the Pacific Cost in one night's drive, having decided to stay here was defintitely the best call we've made. The hotel is simply amazing. From the friendly staff to the clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped rooms everything was just perfect.

But the best thing was the next morning wakeup. Not having realised how close this hotel is to the Pacific Ocean, it was one of the most wonderful moment to wake up to a beautiful sunset over the sea - and this was one of the ground floor rooms that weren't even advertised with ocean views. Completely blew us away.

The breakfast was very good as well - if we're back in Pacific Grove/Monterey, there's absolutely no doubt we'll be back!

We were running behind on our trip out of town, so the staff called to confirm we were still going to make it and advised if we were going to be there after 11pm there would be a phone number to call and they would be available. We got there before 11 and there was a different employee at the counter than the one I had talked to, he was just as professional and polite as the one who had called on the phone. We were going to be going to a wedding the following day and the wedding didn't start until 3, we asked if we could leave our car parked at the location and they said absolutely! The bed was amazing, the rooms were updated and painted nicely, the shower was an actual shower and not a spit bath, the rooms were quiet and there was free WiFi! On Saturday as we were walking through the pier we stopped into carousel candies, the owner of the Inn owns the candy shop and she was working at the time! We had forgotten our coupon from the hotel and she had givin us the discount anyways! It made the weekend so much fun being around happy positive people.

This must be the best deal in the Monterey area. Recently remodeled and updated, the hotel has a prime location with some excellent ocean views on the 3rd floor. The rooms aren't big, but they are very clean and comfortable, with refrigerator and microwave. The bed was just right. In fact it was difficult to get up in the morning - except that one look out the window makes you want to get up and enjoy the views! A nice walk by the ocean, then back to the hotel for breakfast - a great way to start off the day. My wife and I have been through Pacific Grove in the past and wanted to spend a weekend exploring. We arrived in the early evening, just in time for a complimentary glass of wine. Cathy the receptionist knows Pacific Grove inside-out and and was able to provide great recommendations for dinner and things to do. Downtown is just a few blocks away - easy walking distance and with a number of excellent restaurants. Bicycle rentals are right across the street.
So now we have had a chance to spend a little time there we want to go back and explore some more! Lovers Point Inn is the perfect base for further adventures!

Room Tip: 3rd floor has the best views.

15 years ago I stood there at Lovers Point looking in awe! I wanted to come back some day. But then I could not remember any hotels. I was directed to Lovers Point Inn, and it was affordable, we stayed on 3rd floor with a view. I dont know any other hotel with a view like that without paying 300 a night. It has a very home feeling. And Sindy the manager was very special and made us feel very safe. This was last year and we are trying to plan a trip back..

Room Tip: We stayed ocean view 3rd floor

The guys at check in were extremely nice and helpful. They even moved us to a room closer to the view of the coast and Lover's Point though it was fairly late in the evening. Though the rooms have a bit of an older feel (mostly the layout) everything had been renovated and everything was in good repair and clean. These rooms have some nice amenities including a small fridge, coffee maker, large sink and counter outside of the bathroom itself, a rattan couch, chair, and two tables. The bed was a bit soft but probably to some people's liking. My spouse and I both slept very well. It was quiet. The location can't be beat for the price. The breakfast was basic but ample. There was a mix-up with a basket of goodies and flowers a friend had left me and when I went to check on this in the morning, the owner did not seem thrilled to help me find it. But when I peeked in the window of the room to which we'd initially been assigned, I spotted the goodies and she quickly sent a kind woman up to help me retrieve them. So, this is not a luxury resort, but I'd stay there again if back in P.G., especially given the great price and superb location!

Room Tip: 3rd floor, lower numbers (closest to the office) have the best views off their decks. One may use th...

Although the price is reasonable, we cannot understand how this hotel is rated #1 by Tripadvisor in Pacific Grove. The mattress sagged in the middle, so we had a poor night's sleep. The decor is kitschy at best and quite frankly depressing. I would not recommend this hotel. We rate this a 3 because the hotel is located just off a lovely beach area that has a scenic walkway.
