“Wonderful service, good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

There were dietary restrictions for several in our party and the restaurant staff never blinked. They came up with all sorts of permutations of the menu offerings such that everybody was pleased. We were served terrific food, in elegant surroundings on pretty tables with a classy crowd. No one barked at me for wearing shorts, but I had not planned to at at this restaurant when I left the hotel. Not expensive, but not bargain priced either -- I found the menu prices to be very fair, and the service was gracious. Looking forward to my next meal there.

“Fresh, delicious food and warm service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013 via mobile

Our party of four was delighted with our experience. The food was fresh and creatively prepared - great tastes in each dish. The wine recommendations were just what we were looking for and our server helped make the atmosphere warm and inviting.

“A little overrated”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

We had heard a lot of good things about this restaurant, and perhaps that hype played a little into our disappointment. The restaurant was pretty and the staff seemed friendly. Ordered wine that was warm upon arrival, so the waiter put it on ice for all of 3 minutes before pouring it for us - of course it was still room temp. The seafood used was very fresh and tasty, but the preparations were rather strange. Some of the flavor profiles just didn't quite work. Desserts were okay, but very small and not too inventive.

“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

We were delighted to go here as a treat after the Big Sur Marathon in April. When we asked our friends for a recommendation for a resturant with excellent fish, they were not wrong. Wonderful service and knowledgeable wine recommendations. The food was amazing with the perfect meld of flavors and textures. Best meal I've had in a long time.

“Outstanding fish”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

We took our friend for her 79th birthday. We haven't seen her eat this much in years. We loved the salads and each had a different fish. Every dish was beautifully presented and the fish cooked perfectly from sturgeoun to trout and tiplapia.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. My husband was very impressed with the wine prices and we left feeling that we must return every time we are visiting Pacific Grove.
