“Tasty Mexican food at a resonable price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

I found this restaurant by accident as I was looking for Peppers. Glad I did. The food was some of the best Mexican food I have had in a while. I especially enjoyed the chicken soup and the fish tacos. The portions are large so bring an appetite and don't fill up on chips and salsa!
By the way, if you ask, you will get a frosty glass for your beer!

“Bring your appetite”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

We had eaten at the location a few years ago although it might have had a different name then--or not. Plenty of parking in the lot next to the building--but plenty actually is best reserved for the amount of food you are served. My husband had ordered a two burrito dinner and could only finish one The server was so pleasant and the food was delicious. One person in our party was not excited about heading out to a Mexican restaurant but was pleasantly surprised with the red snapper salad. The salads come with half an avocado if you happen to like them. An order of guacamole had chunks of avocado in it but was not terribly spicy if you happen to like it that way--just use the hot sauces on the table to achieve your personal level of heat. The fish tacos are small soft tacos--the fish delicious and the salsa and avocado a perfect blend--again "heat it up" as you prefer with the table condiments. There is a variety of bottled beer as well as other beverages.

“Authentic Mexican!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

We had the cheese with chorizo appetizer.
Kids had quesadilla and breakfast burritos - for dinner!
Mangos plate had the favorites of chile relleno, carne asana and tamale with authentic, hand made tortillas!
Looks like a hole in the wall and has great food and service:)

“Friendly and Tasty”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

After arriving at our Monterrey hotel late on a Saturday evening, the lady at check-in suggested we try this restaurant if we prefer a local establishment with home cooking type Mexican food. So glad we went. The food is basic Mexican--enchiladas, chile rellenos, tacos, etc. Well prepared and generous portions. The highlight of this place is the cheerful service and unpretentious atmosphere. No plastic sombreros or cacti hanging from the ceiling with piped in Mariachi music here. Just a clean Mom and Pop type of establishment. If you are looking for a simple Mexican restaurant with good food and authentic ambience, along with cold beer, etc. this place fits the bill.

“Terrible...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013 via mobile

We ended up there based on the recommendation from our motel. When we came to the place i was a bit surprised, but thought ok, we should give it a try. Shouldn't have done that. The atmosphere isn't good, the tables are covered with plastic something. The service was kind of nice, but not really. If you order beer, you get just a bottle, no glass, if you order soda, they will bring it to you in a plastic glass. It would have been all fine, if they didn't charge restaurant prices for that. The food was not tasty at all, tacos were more or less ok, rice was undercooked. Frankly, when i pay 11$ for 2 tacos i expect at least something better, than taco bell. In this case it wasn't better. Save your money and go somewhere else!!!
