I absolutely looooved this place. Beautiful location, facing the ocean. The rooms were gorgeous and although we had to share bathrooms ( I was a bit doubtful about this), we enjoyed our stay so much. They pay so much attention to the guests. You get a weather forecast every evening, a rose, a nice note on the bed, there is cofee and cake in the afternoon, free beveradges all day long and a great breakfast in the morning. Everything is taken care of and you feel at home. I have not seen the owners, but there were people in the reception for you but they stayed very much in the backgroung which I liked a lot. I can recommend this stay to everyone who wants a fabulous relaxing time.

Decided to stay in Monterey instead of Carmel and was very happy. The inn is across the street from the beach and boardwalk. Our room was behind the main house and was so private and adorable. The bathroom must have been recently remodeled because it had a new Jacuzzi - also nice toiletries. The quilts and teddy bear gave it such a homey feel, and there were balloons and a rose for our anniversary. The staff were super friendly and accomodating. The afternoon snack, sherry and fully cooked breakfast were delicious.

From the moment we arrived, I not only forgot the airline hassles, the TSA experience, and the hours wroth of delays, I nearly forgot my regular life. This was an idyllic week.

The situation is beautiful, looking out over the bay from several banks of windows. After early morning walks along the bay we came back to a full breakfast, fabulous coffee, several kinds of juices, and absolute peace. There are areas where guests can sit together as well as little tables where couples can pretend they're all alone. In the afternoon there are snacks and wine for a respite from a busy day at or on the bay, and sherry to enjoy in the jetted tub at night before falling into an incredibly comfortable bed.

The staff was accommodating, helpful, and committed to making our stay everything we wanted it to be. I could not recommend Green Gables more enthusiastically.

There were seals nursing on the beach across the street and the views from the living room were delighful!
Our room was very comfortable and well appointed. We took full advantage of the afternoon and evening snacks and had a great time playing scrabble while watching the sunset. The Inn is easy walking distance from downtown Monterey and Pacific Grove making it easy to have a very stress free weekend! We had one of the suites in the building behind the main inn--I am not sure I would want to share a bathroom for the price, despite the even better views for those rooms.
