Back in the day Denny's used to be a fail safe option for a good American breakfast, clearly no longer. We arrived at Denny's to find a queue of people in front of us who seemed to be all waiting for take out. We waited patiently for some time not even acknowledged by any of the staff, and the only girl at the till kept disappearing. We decided to look for our own table, only to be berated by the girl who had suddenly reappeared and who advised us that all the people waiting in front of us were waiting for tables. Why she was taking so long to seat them I have no idea, as there were empty tables everywhere. Having no wish to queue jump we waited patiently until she seated us at a booth.
We had the Blueberry pancake breakfast which was very average and not overly tasty, the coffee was weak and tasteless and mug chipped. The service was very slow, and whilst the girl did apologise for the wait we had when we got there, and the queue, the service was slow and staff seemed disinterested, they also seemed like they were short of staff. This Denny's was very tired looking and the car park at the back had a quite dodgy appearance, slightly worrying when we had all our luggage in the car, as we were moving hotels. Definitely wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend it
