I have always been a fan of Outback Steakhouse, but my recent visit here left me very underwhelmed. I had the Mahi Mahi, which was rather tough and basically flavorless. For the price I thought the amount of food served was nil. My wife ordered a steak and was only given one side; she chose a sweet potato. That was it. The meal did not come with anything else. When it arrived the two food stuffs were huddled together in the middle of her plate, surrounded by what seemed an ocean of cheap dinnerware, looking forlorn and somewhat lost.
The service was passable, at best.
The building itself was a little ran down.
Maybe all Outback's have gone down hill somewhat? Then again, in California I have only eaten at this one and the Outback in Goleta, which was even worse. I have always enjoyed the Outback's I have visited in numerous other states; perhaps it only the California branches that are so poor.
