“Great location great food lousy service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

We've eaten about 20 times at Sea Fresh. Location is wonderful: restaurant faces the Channel islands harbor. From your table, if you are on the covered terrace, you see the water and the boats. The salad bar is uninspired, but their fish dishes are fresh and the portions are generous. The place is clean and well-maintained. I never get tired of their Cobb seafood salad or Louie Seafood salad. They also have a sushi bar. Service is absent-minded and slow. Every time. You order the food at their fish market in a back corner of the restaurant, and you pay in advance, and they bring it to your table,

“Fish for everyone..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

It's an informal setting but the food is wonderful. We go there regularly for breakfast, lunch or dinner! The omelets are the best. There is a sushi bar but I usually go for grilled or blackened fish. Lots of choices for accompaniments from hush puppies to veggies. A small salad bar available and quite fresh.
Full bar keeps everyone happy.

“Fresh Seafood & Casual Beach Environment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

We were there for 4th of July, and probably busier than the average day. Seating situation was a nightmare (but again, probably because of the Holiday, so didn't deduct from the rating).

Not a "restaurant" per se, as you order, and the food is brought to you, with no service after that (other than bussers cleaning tables).

Food was nice and "fresh" (as the name suggests). We had the NE Clam Chowder, Fish & Chips (regular, though they have a variety of fish they can turn into fish and chips), and fish tacos (blackened - but you can get them fried or grilled as well).

Weather was great, food was wonderful, so everything made for a perfect experience. Would visit again if back in the area.

“Nice Casual Meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

A nice casual seafood place. You place your order at the cash register, take a number, display the number at your table, and they deliver your meal to where you have chosen to sit.

They have a very wide range of grilled and fried fish offers, with multiple side dishes. I had fried calamari which was good, but a bit overbreaded. My seared tuna main course came out medium rare as ordered, but also was little more breaded and seasoned than ideal. My dining companions all had fish and chips which was done quite well. The buffet salad bar was pretty skimpy, and would probably avoid if I went again.

If the weather is good, try to get a seat outside along the dock. At sunset, when I was there, it was quite nice to see the setting sun reflect on the boat masts with the mountains in the far background.

I might go back, but probably would look around a bit more for another seafood restaurant. The $50 plus table for appetizer, main, and a glass of wine was just a little much for the quality.
