“Doubletree means double beds, not double queens”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

This Hilton run Hotel is clean, beautiful, and clearly high-end, with exceptional service, and all you would expect from a Doubletree Hotel. The cookie is a nice touch. Pets are allowed here, too. We were given this on Hotwire (not always a welcome guest in the eyes of some properties staff), but we felt like royalty in the wonderful way we were treated.

This review is geared for Disneyland guests: With all of the options, this is a good one, but not great. It is a very short drive to the parks (walking is out of the question), and a free shuttle for guests. This property was not put here with Disneyland families in mind, and the Disney-going family perks end right here. Parking is $13/day, and to be fair, many other hotels do this as well. As with bigger hotels, no free breakfast, but there is a very nice restaurant downstairs. I think it was $17 breakfast for adults and $9 for kids.

I think that they are doing enough for Disneyland guests, but dozens of properties will out-do their efforts. We have made 3 trips to Anaheim in 5 weeks, and I am looking for the perfect stay for our frequent Disneyland trips. I want an affordable room, without giving up a good nights sleep, a room with 2 queens (Doubletree has only double beds)., a decent free breakfast (not here), free parking (not here), within a 10 minute walk or a free shuttle (Doubletree has the free shuttle),

I will get the other gripes out of the way right here: As roomy and beautiful as the rooms are, they only have single Kings or standard Doubles (no queens), even in their suites. These beds are too small. A double bed is 4 inches shorter and 6 inches narrower than a queen. How can any high quality hotel even consider this antiquated size of bed? The only other thing comes with every hotel that welcomes pets: Our room reeked of dog urine (room 814, management). I own a carpet cleaning biz and know that they are doing the best that they can. Some dogs will pee in every new place they ever go, and if they allow pets, this can happen.

I want to leave on a high note. For business travelers, this hotel is a fine choice as all Doubletrees are. For couples, this hotel is a very good choice, if you get a King bed. This very nice hotel is hitting home-runs in every way for what it seems to be placed at this location for.

The Doubletree Orange is a great alternative to the Disneyland Main Street hotels - close to The Block it provides all the conveniences of shopping, dining and movie theatre close by. The staff is extremely friendly - especially Julio at the bell desk and Rafael in the lounge. They make traveling there on business feel like staying with friends. The shuttle will get you to Disneyland or Angels Stadium very easily.Rooms are very comfortable and clean. I will continue to stay there on my trips to Orange County.

Room Tip: Higher floors are given to HH Diamond members - only drawback is elevators usually end up stopping o...

Good place to stay. Got a good price on Priceline. Shuttle is dependable and walking distance to nice mall outlets at orange. Doormen were very nice. Gave us three free breakfast vouchers. Only problem was last night when front desk called at 3am asking about a remote?

Room Tip: Shuttle gets to and from Disney easily and you are close (walking distance) to Outlets at Orange.

I booked the Doubletree by Hilton Anaheim - Orange Country after searching through many hotels on expedia and only finding very expensive or non quality motel style hotels online. The Doubletree looked like a quality and clean hotel with a very reasonable price.

I stayed here for 5 nights in October using it as a base for tour pickups for Universal Studios and shopping tours and also for a two day trip to Disneyland. They have a free shuttle bus which runs on the hour to and from the resort to Disneyland which is extremely convenient for getting to Disneyland and downtown Disney.

The rooms are very clean, relatively spacious and use quality linens and bath towels. The staff are very friendly at all hours (I checked in at midnight) and the welcome cookie was always going to be a winner. You can also buy Disneyland tickets directly from reception for the park price which avoids the queues at the parks. On the negative, the bathrooms are a little dated as is the ceiling and carpets and at times you can hear the adjoining rooms tv and conversations. But all in all a very clean, safe, quality hotel.

They have a starbucks directly in the lobby which is a great way to grab some coffee and a donut as you head off on your adventures.

My favourite part about the hotel is its proximity to the Outlets at Orange so after getting back from a day out you can walk across the hotel's carpark to the 130 shops and many food outlets .

The hotel is a little far out from most things but the shuttle ensures that this isn't a problem. Just keep in mind that you might be the last drop off on the tour bus.

I needed a place to stay at the last minute and most of the Hilton hotels in the area were fully booked. When I checked online, the Doubletree by Hilton offered reasonable rates on a standard room, with an upgrade to a premium room with free parking and free high speed internet. I enjoyed the room so much that I spent all evening there...enjoying the view from my 17th floor window as well as the peace and quiet. I ate dinner in the restaurant, which was practically empty....but the service and the food were excellent. The short drive to the Anaheim Convention Center was very convenient...I was glad that I chose that hotel, and would stay there again in a heartbeat. If I had wanted to go shopping, the outlet mall was only 10 minutes away...

This is my 6th stay in the past year at a Hilton property in the Anaheim area. This one, though not my favorite, was adequate and close by to shopping and restaurants. Though not right across the street, the outlets were within a ten minute walking distance. the fast food was right across the street. Their restaurant staff was great. Very friendly and quick. I am not sure how much the breakfast buffet cost, but it was a great way to start the day. The shuttle ran only every hour on the hour, so this was not the greatest, but we made it work for us. It was free so we could not complain much. The pool is very shaded so even though it was warm outside, it felt very cool underneath all the shade. I love Hilton, so I will continue to stay at their properties. Make sure to book early to make sure you get your desired property. This one was the only one available when we stayed. In all, we had a nice stay. The hotel is in great condition and clean.

Great location for shopping the Orange block and Krispy cream donuts very short walk from hotel unless you preferred to drive. Lots of free parking at the outlet. Our room was located on the 5th floor and was able to view the Disneyland fireworks without the noise. Great staff members and the chocolate chip cookies were great.
