“Great place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

We used this hotel as a base for our stay in California for the weekend. We stayed on a lower level room and thought that we were in for a lot of noise, but surprisingly the room was quiet and there were no noise issues at all. We had also taken a suite with a kitchen so that we did not have to rely on eating out all the time, so it was a nice convenience. The provided pots, pans, dishes and utensils were all fine. It wasn't your top notch pots, but they did the job in getting the food cooked. The fridge was a full size fridge so space was not an issue.

The living space for the room we had was large with a separate dining and lounging area from where the main bedroom was. This was perfect as we were travelling with two toddlers that needed space to move around. The tv reception was on and off at times, but wireless internet connectivity was great.

The breakfast was your typical warm breakfast (eggs, sausage, waffles, coffee, cereal, juices, etc.) and for the most part was pretty good. I definitely recommend going to the breakfast area earlier as it gets quite busy if not crazy closer to the closing time. There is also a water pruifier machine for those of you who want to fill up your water bottles/canteens before embarking on your adventures.

The hotel is also very close to the Orange Outlets which were pretty decent. The deals were not as great as those we found in the Primm Outlets (Nevada/Cali border), but I'm sure it would suffice for a quick shopping trip. The crystal cathedral nearby is work a quick look since its an interesting looking building. Gas stations and fast food is also nearby, so all in all, location was great. The freeway was farily close too but did not cause any noise issues.

Definitely, a great place to stay, don't overlook this place. No need spending the big bucks and staying at larger chain hotels close by. Oh and parking is free and abundant.

Room Tip: Street Level Rooms were actually surprisingly quiet and very convenient for carrying your suitcases...

Overall very happy with this hotel, pros definitely outweighed a few cons:

Pros- 2 room suite meant the 3 of us could spread out, could close the doors between sitting room and bedroom for privacy or even when the guys watched sports to wind down at the end of a busy day and I wanted to watch something else in the bedroom. Beds very comfy, bedding soft and plentiful, clock radio, flat screen TVs, double sink vanity outside of the separate toilet/shower room, a third sink in the kitchen area off the sitting room was also useful, rain-shower head was very nice, liked the soap/shampoo/conditioner dispensers on the shower wall, fridge kept our drinks icy cold, microwave in the kitchen, also a coffee maker. Room nice and clean. Near enough to highways to get around, but did not hear highway noise. No charge for parking (always lots of spots available even though hotel seemed pretty full) or wireless Internet in the room. Staff at desk was very helpful, including recommending and arranging tours.

Cons: wireless internet in the room hardly worked at all, very inconvenient. Hallways are really all open air and the walls are painted pukey beige and are dark and very unpleasant. This is not a good location if you don't have a car - sort of industrial area, nothing close to walk to, although papers to have transit on street. Tour buses pick up here though, no problems. Coffee terrible, too weak. Overall though, very happy with this choice because of room amenities, location and price. Enjoy!

We stayed here 5 nights in july 2013 to do Disney and Universal. Despite some people saying that this hotel is some distance from Disneyland, Google maps show it to be less than 5 miles! Our suite was large - one room with a kitchen, sitting area and TV and the other room with two double beds and another TV. Everything was very clean, although a bit dated in overall appearance. Our only minor criticism of the room is that the wash basins are located outside the actual bathroom, which means that the bathroom itself is very small. The complimentary breakfast was more than adequate, although it is served with disposible plates and cutlery. The hotel is located close to the Orange outlet shops, which also have a good selection of restaurants. We would definitely consider staying here in the future.

This Best Western Suites hotel is solid for the Best Western brand. The suite was nice and spacious - we only stayed one night, but it would be nice for a longer stay. The hotel is located in front of an business office plaza so it's not much to look at - we actually thought it was an office building. There is a nice pool/spa located in the middle of the hotel. It was busy with families. The location for us was perfect for a trip to Angels Stadium - it's only about a 5 minute drive. It's also close to the outlet mall. I wouldn't stay in this location if I was planning a trip to Disneyland - it's not that close. The breakfast was nice. There was a nice selection and the staff kept the food refilled and stocked.

We stayed here with 2 grandchildren 11 and 13 and were very happy with the hotel. Pool, breakfast, free internet, 2 TV's and especially the spaciousness of the suite - all contributed to a positive experience. The friendly, helpful staff and attractiveness of the courtyard with flowers, palm trees, and fountain made us feel like we were in a more expensive hotel.

I am catching up on my 2013 reviews. We have been in Disneyland about 40 days in 9 months. We've stayed in 10 different hotels near DL in those 9 months. I am big on Hotwire/Priceline, but this time, I needed a bigger room for 6, so I found this and still can't believe the value. If you prepay, you get about 20% off and the rate reflects the distance to Disneyland, which is far, so it's cheaper. If this property was outside the gates, it would be sold out all of the time and the rate would be about $200/night.

We returned from DL at night and found the door ajar (housekeeping was there last). After talking to the desk and checking our items to see if anything was missing, all was well. Hotel doors are designed to close by themselves (fire safety). This room did not. I'm sure it is fixed, but always check to see the door closes behind you.

If you have a DL annual pass with parking, try this hotel out. It's all freeway to get there, but a bit tricky to get back from DL by freeway. There is an ART shuttle stop here. Walking is not an option (it would take over an hour, I think)

The 2 room 2 queen suite is perfect for a DL family. The beds are very comfortable. The inner courtyard with pool is very nice. The breakfast is a hot breakfast with waffles, eggs, sausage, etc. If you could get a 2 room suite that sleeps 6 with hot breakfast with no parking or resort fees (15 mins to DL) for $110/night, would that work for you?

We plan to return again and again to this gem. If you ask my family, this would rate as our favorite Disneyland Hotel, beating Marriott Suites, Crowne Plaza, Red Lion, Marriott, Travelodge International, Holiday Inn, Doubletree Orange, Anaheim Plaza, and Anaheim Islander (yup, we stayed at all of these since Oct 2012)

Room Tip: Call 3 days ahead and request an inside room, which means room access from the courtyard.
