“Nice stay but needs some updates/additional needs”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

Overall, we were pleased with Quality Suites. The room was clean, front staff were friendly and accommodating. However, having stayed at other similar hotels with suites/kitchenettes, this one lacked basic needs. There were no kitchen materials of any kind which made the use of the kitchenette nearly impossible without us bringing our own supplies which would defeat the entire purpose of having one in our room. Even disposable ones would have been nice. The free hot breakfast was good.(PLEASE invest in another waffle iron! Only ONE for all your guests with children made for a half-hour wait!) No plates, cookware or flatware not even a paper towel are provided in the room. We opened the cabinets to find them completely bare. In previous experiences, in other similar type rooms, the basics have always been provided at no additional charge. Other complaints on my part are that the pool was not heated and the 'newly renovated' fitness room had no a/c. The fitness machines were nice but in the hot room, exercising was not pleasant. The positives are nice decor, in-room fireplace, small but nice patio/balcony, we were allowed early check-in and easy check-out, and good location for our needs attending an event at the Grove. Negatives besides the ones stated previously, are ice machine far from room (why not have one in the refrigerator/freezer IN the room?, extra charge for 15 yr old son who stayed in our room, and the keycards are extremely hard to use to get into your room. It took us over 10 times of repeated attempts before it would magically open. Very frustrating. The same problem with the keycard for the fitness center. Even housekeeping had trouble opening it! Bring your own pillows! The ones provided are tiny and uncomfortable. If updated, these rooms would/could be quite nice.

The point of having a kitchen in your hotel is that you can prepare meals, warm something up, or at least use a glass to drink from. However, with there not being a single pot, pan, dish, fork, knife, glass, cup, or anything else in the kitchen at all, the whole thing is a lot useless. If you are looking at this hotel for the advantages of a "suite", then keep looking for you won't find it useful to stay here.

The manager was unprofessional and unfriendly. He destroyed my vacation. I had to stay there for 4 nights since they already charged my credit. I hope you won't ever in the situation as I had with the manager at this hotel.

I was surprised by the unfriendliness of the staff. At times, they were flat-out rude. Service was slow and required multiple calls before problems were resolved. The rooms are advertised as being able to accommodate larger groups. That is why we chose this hotel. When we arrived, they tacked on an extra occupancy rate that cost us several hundred dollars. We were told to pay or find another hotel (which was not an option).

The walls are extremely thin and NOT sound proof. The floors in the upper rooms have no padding. If you stay upstairs, you will be worried that the sound of your footsteps will disturb the person below you. If you stay downstairs, you will be disturbed whenever someone walks across the floor. This is certainly not ideal for a "family-friendly" hotel. In fairness, the free breakfast was pretty good.

This was without a doubt the worst hotel experience I have had. I will not return.

We stayed there a week and the spaciousness of the rooms made our stay very nice. We did not use the inroom kitchen, but with the awesome breakfast every morning, we did not need to. The location is fine, but the highway is a little loud. And the price was right - we would stay again and recommend to others - no real complaints! Thank you for your hospitality Mr. Patel!

We stayed two nights with our two small kids. The room was relatively clean, the bed sheets were good. We stayed in a two queen bed room, there was a sofa bed too, but it was very old and was not comfotable to even sit on it. There was a full kitchen, but there were not pots/pans.
The room looked over the highway and it was a bit noisy, but not too much to keep us awake at night.
We got three card keys for the room. We climbed the stairs with two very tired kids, luggage, and none of the keys worked. My husband had go to get the cards reloaded.
The parking is limited. We werent't visiting disneyland, so we left late in the morning and came back early evening. Still, it was pretty full.
The breakfast was very disappointing. The breakfast area is very small, and thus, is very crowded. They have an upper floor available, but I didn't see anyone climbing the stairs. They fill the trays with muffins. Bread options were very limited, no bagels. They advertise to have hot and cold breakfast. But the hot food (a sorry tray of poached eggs the first morning and biscuits and gravy second morning) were consumed the second it is put on the serving table and it takes them forever to bring new trays. We decided not to suffer and went out for brakfast the third morning.
The location is good, but I think we could have stayed at a better place for the money we paid.
