We decided to go out for dinner tonight. My wife chose one restaurant, then selected Famous Daves's as a back-up. Great choice! The other place was too crowded and too noisy. Famous Dave's legendary pit BBQ did not disappoint. When we're alone, we usually split a full rack of ribs and divide the sides. This works out to a nice dinner for 2 for under $30.00. The full rack has about 12 bones of juicy, tender pork. We chose baked beans and cold slaw as our sides, plus you get a corn bread muffin and corn on the cob. We're tea drinkers and they have sweet and unsweetened. You serve yourself with the drinks. The atmosphere is about what one would expect in a rib place. The napkins, on each table is a roll of paper towels, but you can also pick up some moist towelettes. Tonight, our table attendant was Jonathan, but he introduced himself as Famous Jonathan. He was great with his detailed description of the six containers of sauce at each table. One is ketchup and one is a mustard sauce. The rest are barbeque sauces ranging from mild to spicy to hot to extra hot. Though they don't offer a dry rub on the menu, you'll probably like the ribs just the way they are. The sides were delicious. We've visited Famous Dave's wherever we go. They don't change. It's a very reliable product that you'll certainly enjoy. After the meal, try one of the desserts! One is a hot brownie with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream with chocolate drizzled on it. It's to die for, The other desert is a bread pudding, which Famous Jonathan likes. If you like barbeque, you'll love Famous Dave's.
