Convenient to Airport (3 miles)
Front Desk willing to work with me on rooms
Overall friendly staff
Road side rooms are loud!
Hotel is somewhat dated but, still in good shape
I was in California from the east coast for 2 days of business meetings. Arrival from Ontario airport was simple there is plenty of parking that was free. I was told that Valet parking was seasonal that was why there were confusing signs everywhere. Interstate 10 is close by and easily accessible. The building and grounds are pleasantly landscaped. The front desk was great. Monica worked with me to get a conference room suite for an interview I was doing at the hotel. It was a $50 upgrade to get this type of room. Monica called maintenance and they showed me the room first. In order to cut cost Monica gave me a regular room the first night and the conference room suite the second night. In between she had sales give me a quote on a regular conference room that turned out to be $250. While this was going on she went to the back and got me a cold bottle of water. I tried to do this in Washington D.C. and was basically laughed at by the front desk and the manger.
Room 1208 is second floor street side. This room was quite loud you can hear airlines coming and going from the airport. There are train tracks close to the hotel and it is a high speed main line that crosses the highway near the airport. You can clearly hear trains all night long on top of that there is 4 lane highway in front of the hotel that is loud as well. The noise is somewhat muffled by the air conditioner. The next night when I switched to room 1207 across the hall I had a courtyard room big difference in the noise level. The rooms are a nice size a little worn from age but clean and comfortable. The room has flat screen TV, bedding is good. No fridge, pod style coffee maker Pool area is nice big fountain covers noise. The area around hotel is suburban sprawl. Went to Omaha jack steak and brewery. Excellent craft beer. Ate at Porters in hotel wait staff friendly. Food expensive $35 entrees sides extra. Had the 14 steak salad. Breakfast was interesting kind of a bait and switch going on - they give you a coupon for "free breakfast" however once you are seated you are told the free breakfast only include bread and cereal and you have to pay an upgrade of abut $5 for the hot food. I thought that was kind of slick but, the upgrade was worth it the food is fresh and hot, eggs, bacon sausage, etc Work out room new and modern with free weights. There is a hotel bar on premise that must be a hotspot for locals. I never went to it but, also never heard any music that might keep you awake at night.
All in all I would probably stay here again.
