“A Great Find In A Sea Of Hotels!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

I've actually stayed here twice, this past fall, at the end of September and the end of October, both weekends for music festivals at the NOS Center in San Bernardino.

Pros, I have a lot!
1. Hardwood floors make me more comfortable than carpet in a hotel, and the rooms have big windows and are well-lit. I feel like this place isn't hiding anything.
2. The rooms are so spacious and have comfortable, clean seating. One room had a set of two comfy chairs with a small table in between (next to one of two windows) and the other had a chaise at the end of the bed (which was big enough for a friend who ended up staying with us to sleep on).
3. Mini fridges in the rooms!
4. Rainfall showerheads with good water pressure and hot enough water.
5. I had to have something sent to the hotel for the October stay, and it arrived the day before we checked in. I got it in good condition.
6. Lots of mirrors and counter/table surfaces in the rooms. Good for multiple people getting ready for a music festival!
7. Inexpensive! The first time we stayed was on hotels.com for $69 a night and the second time I got a groupon offer for $69 a night.
8. I have never had a problem with early check in (1-2 hours) or late check out (half an hour or so) requests.

Cons:
1. Our room keys didn't work for the side door nearest our room during the October stay.
2. Super lame tv channels, luckily we weren't at the hotel relaxing much. Mostly getting ready and sleeping.
3. The desk agents seem pretty apathetic when checking you in and out. Personally, I tried to be bubbly to guests to welcome them to the hotel I worked at, but they weren't rude at all and got me checked in in a timely manner both stays.
4. The elevator looks sketchy. It works fine, but it looks sketchy.

Neutral:
1. We didn't use the wooden stool in the shower, but instead to prop open the door to the bathroom both times, they pulled themselves closed.
2. This place is really close to the freeway, but kind of far from much food. We're used to driving 20 minutes to NOS for the best hotel deals.
3. Continental breakfast was nothing to write home about, but it was free food and included fresh waffles.
4. The windows the second stay were pretty obscured by trees. Just meant we had to have lights on all the time.

Overall, I love this place and will be staying here every time I need to be in San Bernardino!

This Hotel epitomizes my belief that the more stars a hotel has the less it provides, this is a 3 star hotel, it is nice modern and in good repair, it was also thanks to the booking site very cheap.

But, the location is horrible, do not come here if you do not have a car, I did not on this trip, there is nothing but office blocks for about a mile, i mean nothing! The room are small, the TV service, about 20 channels, the TV guide is a piece of paper that looks like someone pulled it out of the garbage, oh and of the stations on the guide, some are not available and on others there is no sound. The bathroom is a little bigger than small, the water was barely hot enough for a shower, it was just. Breakfast, well, that was one of the worst i have had, very little offered.

Well let's see...

We check in and the whole place smells like curry. We waited forever at the front desk. The elevators take entirely too long. The rooms are tiny and smell like burning incense you buy at the gas station. There were ZERO towels in our room. There were ZERO towels in my brother's room. Oh, and the TV didn't work. Customer service doesn't really exist because the staff don't seem to really care. And their "breakfast" is a joke.

I booked through Orbitz and got a $50 a night rate, I'll tell you what, you get what you pay for. This hotel does not deserve the three stars it is listed as.

Great find and wonderful, thoughtful, helpful staff. Comfortable, safe and well appointed rooms and suites.( I was given a complimentary upgrade, even though I booked through a discount site.) Just a few blocks from major shopping and restaurants. And a continental breakfast was available, included in the price.Bar in the hotel seemed to be doing well and had some snacks available, and there was a menu for delivery of food from a local restaurant as well. Nice Gym and pool. The location added about a 15 mile drive for me, but it was worth the drive for the comfort, and safe feeling. Would stay again.

Room Tip: The staff seemed anxious to give guests the best rooms available. I would go with their choices.

Dont really know where to start on this review! This Hotel really 'Wowed" me. When you first walk thru the foyer doors you will see an elegantly Modern styled space that I would not really want to call a 'Lobby" but more of a living room. There is trendy furniture and colors cozied up to a artfully framed fireplace. The front desk is hosted by very astute greeters who add to the air of a Metropolitan vibe. There is a lounge and cafe that are very inviting to have drinks, hang out a bit, or stop off before leaving for the evening. There are quiet nooks where business can be conducted like being in your own office space. As you walk thru to your room, you will be captured by the essence of California as you pass by the wall murals of the sequoia forests, and the Carmel Bridge. How Different! How Charming! The total decor is amazing! Colors like soft yellows and sea green are contrasted with tasteful black and white rugs, wall art, and linens. You wont be dissappointed to mark this Hotel for even a Weekend Stay-cation if you are shopping at the Ontario Mills Mall, taking in a movie, or attending an event at the Citizens Arena! Oh, and did I mention the up-scale shower with Rainfall shower head...ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.

This Hotel has been recently remodeled and the tow room suites are very nice. We comfortably slept 4, had a lot of workspace at the desk area and it was very quiet. We will stay here again for sure as we have a child that goes to the Claremont Colleges.

Room Tip: Get a room on the top floor

Stayed in king suite on the second floor for 7 days. The rooms are large and decorated beautifully just like the picture. Huge desk area with enough sockets for recharging our computer, 2 phones, and 2 iPods all at once. It has the best shower I have had at a hotel. It was very spacious with a big shower head and a portable bench. The hotel is very close to I-10, the airport, restaurants and Ontario Mills Mall. You do need a car, but five minutes to get to each was ample. Never had a problem finding parking. All the staff I encountered, day and night, were very helpful and polite and I was greeted every time I passed through the lobby.
The only negatives were the scuff marks on the doors throughout (everything else is very clean, so this is surprising) and the pool furniture needs recovering with a proper outdoor fabric. Also, since there is a fridge and a sink, it should have a microwave. None of these things took away from my room comfort. I will definitely stay again.
