“Very Hard Course that is over-due for an upgrade”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2014

Squaw Creek is a pretty course that is very challenging... I am an average golfer and this course easily put on 15 strokes to my typical game. It is narrow with unforgiving OBs and extremely difficult pin placements. While the course is decently maintained and the greens are fast, the staff was not helpful and the extras sparse. It was difficult to buy snacks/drinks, the Pro shop did not open until right before tee time, the practice area is smallish (with just a net to hit into) and in general it felt like they were penny pinching in a tight environment. If you are a really good player, than you might enjoy it but if you feel good hitting in the 90's, plan on hitting in the 100's and being frustrated a lot.

“very challenging”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

Lost a few golf balls in the wild land rough. The views are part of the attraction of this course. If you don't hit straight, bring lots of extra balls, and don't keep score!

“A "GREEN" COURSE YOU SHOULD AVOID”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2014

Greens are worst than a decent municipal course. Burned up! Weeds and flowers grow in the fairways. If you have trouble playing in a "carts on the path atmosphere" they will give you a flag, however they don't tell you the design of the very long wooden cart path system renders the "flag" useless! Lots and lots of walking to play a fourth rate course. Don't waste your vacation here!

“Weeds and more weeds”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2014

Weeds all over the place, tight course, Hard to find your way around as next hole is not marked, played the wrong hole a couple of times, The whole course seemed to be neglected. Greens terrible, punched but no sand and no growth.Cart path only policy makes for a lot of walking. Plus no beverage cart service. Too many good courses in the area to bother coming back.

“Squaw Creek Golf Fun but Not”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2014

Squaw Creek Golf is nice setting below the resort in the meadow valley of Squaw Creek Ski Mountains. The course is there to check the box for having a golf course at the resort more so than a destination golf resort. So enjoy a round there you will have fun but do not have high expectations or you will be disappointed. South Lake and Incline have championship courses that will fit that box. Fore!
