The Bear Valley Inn, recently renovated and reopened under Amanda and Ken's tender loving care, is absolutely perfect. The rooms in the main house, as well as the cottage, are all thoughtfully and beautifully decorated. Excellent organic and local foods are used to prepare delicious meals. Amanda and Ken are fun-loving and outgoing, yet discreet when you just want a little peace and quiet--perfect hosts. The area is great for a wide range of outdoor activities, and the tiny town of Olema is definitely away from it all. I highly recommend it!

“A Great Little B&B”

I highly recommend this B&B for your romantic getaway. The owners are new to the business, but they are very excited about their new jobs as innkeepers and the property itself has been an inn for over 20 years. They did a great renovation, so the place is not overly decorated and the colors they used are great. The grounds look like they are only getting better every month (good gardens, etc.), and the location is very central to the region.

We met the hostess, who is very friendly and will tell you whatever you need to know about how to enjoy the natural wonders of the region. She and her husband are both avid cyclists, as well as very involved citizens of the region.

They offer a free breakfast to guests, which was good. They also have all kinds of games and books available for down time, and no TV's in the rooms (which is good, in my opinion).
