“Could be nice but terrible service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

Decent rooms with the features listed. The breakfast was cold coffee, stale pastries, and cereal. The pool is UNHEATED so it was consistently too cold - we were there on a holiday weekend and no one in the full hotel ever used it to give you some indication. People did use the hot tub at night (too hot during the day).
We booked a room with two queen beds. When we arrived at night, they gave us the key and the room had not been cleaned. Other people's papers were all over the room, the beds were slept in, the whole place was a mess and dirty. We went back to the lobby (which is just one of their rooms because the real one is under construction) and never got an apology. She kept laughing at the screw-up and said there was no way to fix it because housekeeping was gone and wouldn't be coming back anytime soon. The place was full except for one room so we got that room with ONE queen bed. She said it was the same price and that was that. I said we should get some money off considering we were getting HALF the sleeping space we booked because of their mistake and she finally agreed to it. When all was said and done, they gave us $15 off our total (we were staying their two nights).
Not worth it. It may be the cheapest in the area, but it's easy to tell why. The convenience is the walking distance to the main strip of Ojai.

i had to write this because some of the reviews that I read did not give an accurate view of this motel. Yes, it is a motel but the rooms are very nice. They are clean and adequately furnished. The beds are comfortable. Wifi is good and it's free. Nice pool and hot tub. This is not a 4 star hotel. Don't expect one. Remember how much you are paying for this room! Most of the hotels in this area are very very expensive. So if you want to pay a good amount of money you surely can get that4 star room! This place is for the average middle class vacationer that is looking for an affordable place to stay that is nice. The only 2 negative things that I can say are that the bathroom is definitely small ( but clean) and it is NOT in walking distance to town unless you want to walk about a mile. It's more like a 5 minute drive.

Room Tip: Take a second floor room with a view of the mountains in the back. For less noise

Green Features: I am from New Jersey where they are not nearly as environmentally prudent as they are here in California. I do not feel like I can comment!

January 2015 we returned to Ojai for an eight night stay at Casa Ojai. Once again, we were blown away with the friendly service, comfortable accommodations and staff. January-April is a wonderful time to visit the Ojai Valley. It is so green and beautiful during this rainy season. The clouds on the mountains and the sunsets were spectacular on the Topa Topa Mountains! It was so nice to be able to spend the cool evenings relaxing with family in the Jacuzzi.
This Inn is located just across the road from the Soule Park Golf Course, a challenging course in a beautiful setting. There are wonderful international dining establishments in downtown Ojai, less than a mile away. Great for an evening or morning stroll. I highly recommend Casa De Lagos for Mexican; Exotic Thai for great Thai food; and Azu, for more upscale Mediterranean cuisine. These are just a few of the options available. You can afford it with the money you will save staying at Casa Ojai.

Room Tip: Upper floors are great for a view of the mountains.

Green Features: They utilize state of the art water-saving features and automatic timers on lights for energy savings.

We stayed at Casa Ojai Inn for 1 night over Presidents Day weekend. Our room was very clean and beds super comfortable. The low shower pressure didn't bother us as we understood the water restrictions on the town. Breakfast was a basic continental style. Although staying at the spa would have been wonderful, we were more than happy to spend $250 less and stay at the Casa Ojai Inn. We would definitely stay here next time we are in town.

The hotel is well located and is walking distance from the center of town. Our room had 2 queen beds but the bathroom was small. The sink area was open towards the bedroom which we did not appreciate. The breakfast was mediocre. The wifi was very poor. Considering the hotel rate, the value was not too bad.

Room Tip: Good value with simple free breakfast

We had a very good stay at Casa Ojai. We had stayed there before but they did some remodeling and we liked it very much. We will stay there the next time we go to Ojai and recommend it to everyone else.

We are repeat customers. We enjoy the location, the super friendly staff and the clean comfortable rooms. We've used the hot tub, and grabbed a quick bite at the breakfast (nothing elaborate). Easy parking and very quiet.
