Spent one night last week and found the place very nice. Helpful staff at check in pointed us toward some trail options, part of our reason for visiting the area, and then to a favored restaurant. The room was clean and well appointed, one of their 'eco-rooms' aimed at an ecological position - liquid soap/shampoo dispenser, etc. (I always wondered what became of those used small soap bars; this seems like a good idea.) Continental breakfast was satisfactory. Price very reasonable. Located on east edge of town so not really walkable to eating spots.

My partner and I chose this hotel because of allergies and their use of natural cleaning products. We didn't anticipate the mold in the room which resulted in asthma for both of us.

Additionally the electrical outlet in the bathroom only allowed for one plug in.......so if you are brewing coffee and trying to dry your hair, forget it!!!!

The room was clean, and well-maintained. When we checked in, we were provided with the promised bottle of wine, but never did receive our cookies! (We didn't ask, because we didn't realize this until after we checked out.) Our biggest complaint was the NOISE--we were in a downstairs unit, and the noise from upstairs was unbelievable. It truly sounded like an entire (large) family was having a pogo stick contest. When we complained to management, it abated somewhat, at least enough to sleep. But the noise started up again in the AM. Add to this this fact that the housekeeping staff arrives early and they are apparently VERY happy to see one another, judging from the yelling and loud talk in the parking lot and outside the rooms. We would not return.

The Casa Ojai Inn is a nice place. It's nothing fancy, but the rooms are clean and it is quiet. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast included cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, muffins, toast, coffee and juice. The price is reasonable compared to the rates at nearby hotels. I would definitely stay here again.
