“I'll never stay anywhere else!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013

We stayed in Room #206. It was perfect. Loved the fireplace, the large bathroom, the balcony and the rooftop patio that we enjoyed all to ourselves. The breakfast, and overall service at the Blue Iguana is top notch. After spending a lot of money over the years at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa, we decided to branch out and try a new hotel. I can honestly say, we will never go anywhere else, and we can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: We stayed in Room #206. It was perfect. Loved the fireplace, the large bathroom, the balcony and the...

Came here to use a Bloomspot coupon I had bought last fall, couldn't use it then due to broken ankle, so came now when it was about to expire. Had one of the smaller rooms without a fireplace, and the heater popped and crackled all night (it was COLD) but the bed was comfortable, nice sitting areas in the room, good TV (and DVD player), and used the free WiFi. Room clean and good maid service. Did not try the hot tub, but others did. Pool not heated, so did not swim either. The continental breakfast was plentiful, although would have liked some decaf coffee and the hard cooked eggs were undercooked (jello yolks!). Most people take their breakfast back to their rooms, but I ate in the breakfast room which was very pleasant. In warm weather there are also tables and chairs to eat outside under the lovely old oaks. Parking was easy, and the location good, although too far to walk into town. I would like to stay again when the weather is warmer.

Room Tip: Rooms in the front of the complex (along Hwy 150) have the most noise but have best access to the po...

very nice hotel, actual room is better than their picture. worth the money, affordable, but before make your reservation, try to call them and ask for not staying in the front, stay at the back will be perfect, they are also very clean as well.
our room is the very very first one which has traffic noise, so i cant fall asleep on the first night, anyhow, they discounted us 10% for this, but i would rather to pay that 10% to stay in the back.
but all in all, GOOD HOTEL.

Although only one night at this place it was so comfortable. Nice touch with the fire in most rooms.
We had been upgraded to a full apt. As they hadn't been able to give us what we had booked.
Must be nice in the warmer weather but we had lots of sun. The pool & hot tub would be good.We went to the lake & had a great walk not all the way round but a great part of it. Lots of hiking & bikes to rent. Great breakfast included. Also great beds.Cute little town.
We had a great meal in Susanan's resturant just 5 mins down the main road from the Inn.

Wasn't expecting this. Very big "rooms", more like little apartments, with full kitchen, bathroom, living space and large bedroom. 2 TVs, one with DVD player, small hi-fi in the bedroom. Very cozy, too! Perfect stay. Will come back.

Despite the rain in December, we loved the cosy room we had at the Blue Iguana Inn. Not too big, not too small, this is the perfect place to have a second honeymoon with your spouse. The decor is stunning, and made me wish this was my own home.

Room Tip: Loved the private outdoor patio in room 104.

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised to discover the Blue Iguana Inn. It's such a charming place, very welcoming and cozy. The rooms are incredibly spacious and well maintained. With the full kitchen you can stay in and cook too if you want. The staff couldn't be nicer either.

Room Tip: The best value for a larger group is the separate Casa Alegre which has two bedrooms and can sleep s...
