A lovely place to stay for deep relaxation and serenity. Quiet and beautiful tucked away in the east end of Ojai. There is a true healing energy here. The library has so much to offer you'll leave rejuvenated, more in-tune and more intelligent.

This is a beautiful place for quiet and a good vibe. No TV, no pool, just incredible peace. The place is immaculate. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. Plenty of places to walk and enjoy Ojai outdoors which is the best fitness center you can get. Wonderful Krishnamurti library just up the hill. Breakfast companionship and conversation with other guests is a highlight. Not a place for small children.

Room Tip: They're all good, just depends on what you need. Probably quieter on the second floor, since you...

If you're looking for a quiet, isolated retreat AND a bed and breakfast, this is your place.

Great staff. And the library is a treat for any avid readers.

The surrounding plot of land is equally awe-inspiring.

Room Tip: Each room is special.

This is a great Bed and Breakfast (all vegetarian) that is next to the Krishnamurti library, a lovely place to learn about yourself and what surrounds us. This was our 3rd or 4th trip here and we always enjoy our stay.

Some tips:

If you like oranges, they have a huge orange grove to pick oranges from to take back home.

Meditate in the Krishnamurti library.

There is a hiking trail not too far away that we took, it was lovely, not too hard.

If you are looking for a place to party and booze up, this is NOT the place for you.

Kids 12 and under are not allowed.

Come here if you want to get away from everything and relax and focus on yourself.

A great place to write.

Staff and place combine to provide the perfect centre for deep relaxation and energetic renewal. For the curious observer or the deeply philosophical explorer who is interested in the teachings of Krishnamurti this has to be the center of the observable universe.

I am originally from Madras ( now Chennai) in southern India. Therefore, as one familiar with the Theosophical Society in Adyar, Madras, I have always been wanting to come to this place. I tried many times but could not find a room when I was free to visit. Finally, the opportunity opened up. My son and I got the Annie Besant room. We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay. Everything was nourishing for the soul. The people running the place were superb...very helpful and nice and appropriately quiet. I have a great yearning to be back many times,to soak in the quiet beauty of the place , to wander in the citrus grove and to reflect on the glory of the Universe and to read in a quiet atmosphere I strongly recommend this place to anyone who genuinely seeks peace and harmony and some rest from the world outside.

Room Tip: The Annie Besant room is very quiet and convenient for breakfast and also has a library/sitting room...

Almost complete silence the entire time we were there. Very relaxing. Be aware, there is no TV, Clock radio, telephone, etc in the room. We did have a kitchen in our room, which was actually separate from the main place. A small warning, it is vegan, so no meat or alcohol allowed in the rooms. The staff was the friendliest I think I have ever run across.
My only complaint, was the bed was not the most comfortable, so neither my wife or myself slept as well as we had hoped. Of course, we have a Tempurpedic at home so tough to match. We had a queen with no headboard, and it was not against the wall so the pillows kept falling off the top of the bed. If you just want to get away from it all, a good choice.
