“Fun at the end of the pier”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

Great for kids and good burgers and onion rings, View is wonderful, a great place to come during sun or during a storm, right on the end of the pier, bring a friend and go to the bar for a drink and watch the sun set. Very casual family downstairs, and more for the adults upstairs.

“Great location lost on mediocre restaurant”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

Ruby's at the end of the pier could be a great 'go to' place if only they served good food. I went there for breakfast and the service was poor, the food mediocre and the coffee atrocious. I'm not a burger person, so maybe that is their forte. Shame, would have been a great place for breakfast.

“Best View in Oceanside.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

Being at the end of Oceanside Pier, it has the best views around. Gets pretty busy. The food is good diner food. I recommend the burger stand at the beginning of the pier for better burgers though.

“Diner menu on the Pier”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

The restaurant sits at the end of the Oceanside Pier. Very busy. Good dinner food from burgers to open faced sandwich's. Malts, Coke and all manner of drinks. Pleasant service from a staff dressed in period costume. Food is average to good but considering location and ambiance (1950's diner) a fun experience that would punctuate a walk on the pier. Great views.

“It's on the Pier”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2014

There are plenty of Ruby's Diners around SoCal. But this one, like a few others, is located at the very end of a very long pier. The views are spectacular. Sure you may have to wait 5 or 20 minutes, but look where you are. Enjoy the vibe, have some good burgers and fries (and onion rings!), try a shake, and have a good time. Nothing gourmet here, but it's solid diner food without any attitude and again: location, location, location.
