“Loved it!”

My husband and I had such a great time. The Inn was just wonderful , the people (both the guests, the inn keepers and their staff) were outstanding, the town as charming as can be. But our room, it was just the best, during our stay we were able to poke our heads in some of the other rooms and I have to say the room we stayed in ( Cirque du Sonoma Room) beat them all hand down....when I first booked the room on online and checked out the photos...I was less then stoked about spending my relaxing weekend in what looked to be a bright yellow room, but it turned out to be just fabulous! I can't wait to go back. Oh...and don't miss the spa down the road, osmosis.

This is a great B&B that is clean with good service & food.

We were in California for the Russian River Barrel Tasting weekend in Sonoma Co. We stayed here because our reservation at another B&B had to be cancelled because of flooding (a very rainy spring). This B&B was farther than we would have preferred for that event, but would be great for other occasions.

Just returned from 3 nights at the Inn at Occidental in Occidental, CA (Sonoma County.) In every way, this B&B exceeded our expectations. The property, furnishings, food and staff could not have been better.
When you enter the courtyard, your senses are overwhelmed by the beauty of the garden's roses and other manicured plantings. The lovely American folk-style furniture and art catch your eye all over the Inn. A delicious, creative breakfast is served each morning in the cozy dining room with a huge stone fireplace. Upon returning to the Inn after a day of touring the Wine Country, the owners, Tina and Jerry, greet each guest (by name!) with a glass of wine and suggestions for a dinner spot in the area.
While we enjoyed occasionally running in to other guests, we truly felt like we were the only couple there.
I highly recommend the Inn at Occidental and plan to visit again!

There is no Cingular/AT&T cell phone reception at the inn at occidental. The inn itself is beautiful, the people are friendly, they have wireless internet. But if you need to stay in touch with the outside world, I would not recommend staying there. HOWEVER if you want to escape from the world THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO VISIT. It is an hour from Sonoma and about two hours from Napa. Secluded and beautiul. If I hadn't had to check out early because of my phone service, it would have been a great trip.

The Inn at Occidental guests can communicate with the outside world. Yes, we do have in room landlines to make phone calls. No, cell phones do not operate in Occidental, however they do within 3-4 minutes outside of Occidental. We do have WIFI, we do offer guests TV service if requested since our rooms have cable. Newspapers arrive each morning. We're 15 minutes from the Pacific Coast, one hour from the Golden Gate Bridge, 45 minutes to Calistoga in Napa and one hour to St. Helena.
Our first tasting room is 5 minutes away since were in the Russian River Appelation.

Welcoming hosts, magnificent accommodations, a serene and beautiful setting, outstanding ammenities....the perfect getaway. The Inn is located within a short drive from the wineries of Sonoma and Napa; a 25 minutes drive with world class vistas to the northern California coast and 20 minutes from Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve.

We did it all and reconnected with each other in our beautfiully decorated and comfortable suite. We were able to "come home " to the Inn and away from all the hustle & bustle of wine country. We relaxed, enjoyed the garden, sipped fine Sonoma wines with other guests each evening. It was absolutely the "perfect getaway" in the perfect location. We will be back!

My wife and I stayed at the Inn at Occidental for 4 nights recently. It was a wonderful experience. The room (the Summer Room) was spacious, sunny, and comfortable. Jerry and Tina, the owners, are as gracious and helpful as can be. They know the area well and are happy to give you as much or little help as you want in making recommendations. The town of Occidental is very small but has 4 or 5 restaurants in walking distance and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. There are many advantages to touring wineries in Sonoma rather than Napa County, particularly if you want to get away from 4 lane highways and heavily marketed wineries. The Inn puts all of Sonoma in reach, and as an added bonus is a beautiful 25 minute drive to the ocean. This really is a place worth staying and coming back to and we look forward to our next visit.

We had an oppurtunity to stay at the Inn at Occidental this week. What a great place. The setting is beautiful and quiet. Our room The Safari was very charming. From the comfortable bed, the fireplace and the relaxing two person spa you could not ask for more. It was very relaxing sitting out on our patio with a glass of wine. Breakfast was wonderful. Alana who greeted us when we arrived was very attentive to our needs and even made dinner reservations at the Union Hotel (bring your appetite). Tina and Jerry treated us like old friends. Thank you for a wonderful stay, give Kalua a pat on the head for us and we hope to see you soon
