I honestly don't have too much good to say about our stay at this hotel. The rooms were very very dated, the neighborhood is not very safe, the staff are nice although seriously overworked, there is really nothing of interest in the immediate area, and the hotel facilities are very basic and run down.

The check in was fine, parking is limited (it was full when I got there! Luckily, someone pulled out just as I was turning around to go back to the front).
The TV in my room did not was all fuzzy at first and only a channel guide was in the room. I attempted to call the front desk several times and all it did was ring and ring and ring.....So, I went to the front desk to ask for help. She had to ask someone, who was one of the security working, and he told me to turn it to channel 15 then it should work. He also stated he'd stop by my room in a few mins to make sure it was working. It worked although the picture was not clear. BTW...the guy never did stop by to make sure it was working.
My room was clean, and the bed was comfortable.
Before 8 AM, I could hear the cleaning staff making noise, vacuuming, and such. I was not totally happy about that.
The breakfast was not that good. The room they have it, was dirty, trash all over, out of several items, and the "omelet" was nasty!
Again...Would I stay here again???? If there was no other place to pick from.

I checked in the Comfort Inn located in Oakland, CA on a Friday (09/21/12) at 8pm. If you want a hotel room where the door doesnt lock, with no cold water in the shower, and a faulty a/c, you found the spot. I decided i had too much and went to check-out calmly. While i was next in line waiting to check-out, front desk called security on me and i was charged twice for a room i was in for about 2 hours. If you want that kind of customer service and want to pay a pricey hotel for one star service, look no further. Also, i called customer service to see what could be done, they told me to call Saturday morning for a manager. I called but was told there was no manager until Monday morning.

the room was clean but the staff was not very friendly and the sink in our bathroom was leaking and it took them 2 days to fix it if you are visiting san francisco i would stay in san francisco this place is kinda far from the pier and you have to pay $4-6 to go over the bay bridge each day the nabiorhood is ok but its very close to some sketchy areas.
