We stay here for 4-5 nights in March, in excess of fifteen times. Certainly not fancy but we feel we receive more than our dollar value. With only one rare exception the staff has been exceptional. Not bad considering 68+ days. In the past it was nice being able to charge on-site restaurant fees to the room but the new owners do accept credit and debit cards. For times when the on-site restaurant is closed across the street and within a :04 walk there are several fast food and restaurant options. We usually walk to the nearby grocery store (less than :04 walk), and stock-up on fruit, snacks, etc. The airport courtesy van is a huge plus, drivers have always been kind, helpful and punctual. The rooms could be updated but overall they have always been do than adequate. Yes, we are aware we are not on a cruise ship but we feel our money is well-spent.
I read other feedback re fumes from pot smoking in the halls. We have not encountered that issue but if we did we would immediately call the front desk. If not handled quickly our next call would be the police. Both of us have jobs that include drug and alcohol testing, we simply cannot allow ourselves to be exposed to such issues. Add to that serious allergies to all smoke - we are pro-active our own well-being and health.
I have had packages shipped to the hotel, scheduled to arrive just prior to our arrival. Without exception during check-in the front desk staff would advise the packages were there prior to me asking. Unlike some hotels (think Vegas), they did not charge me to claim my own packages.
I am currently making hotel reservations for the next four months, this one will be my first.
Room Tip: Ask for a room closer to the lobby area. We prefer the ground floor, knee replacement is not an iss...
