This place is tough to endorse, as the restaurant isn't much to look at. Inside or out. The owners and workers were very kind to us and we had the freshest noodles and dumplings imaginable. Not a place for a date, but definitely the place if your main objective is great food.
There must be 50 asian restaurants within three blocks of the Marriot downtown and this little hole in the wall was suggested by everyone for good reason. Great prices, wonderfully flavorful food, nice staff, handmade dumplings, noodles, and just simple great food.
Huge portions - be careful of ordering too many dishes. Restaurant full of locals (which is always a good sign) and service was very good.
Homemade noodles, dumplings, fantastic sweet and sour chicken (shan dong chicken) and excellent prices. Best bang for your buck in oakland china town and the noodles make me salivate just thinking about my last visit. Excellent!
Read good reviews about this place on Yelp and I found out why. The food was excellent with many fresh vegetables and the best homemade noodles around. The ambience is like a diner but you go to a restaurant for the food, right? If you agree then you won't be disappointed!
