“on the Jack London Square waterfront”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

this was an excellent luncheon experience for celebrating a birthday. Sitting outside, sunny day, water and boats. And the charm of the Fire Dept. cadets in training running by. We cheered them on.
The Business Lunch was nicely put together with soup, main dish and dessert for $20.
Well prepared and presented. Lovely restaurant on the waterfront area. Parking nearby with validation from restaurant. Service and food were outstanding.

“Consistently great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013 via mobile

High energy located at jack London square. If only this and the other great restaurants in the area could revitalize this square. Bar is comfortable with good service and generous cocktails. Start with shishito peppers...just right heat to start meal. Items from the fire here are cooked to perfection and you will have a hard time making a bad choice from pork chops to fish. Creme brûlée predictably--thankfully delicious. Easy parking, great outdoor dining...and it's quieter.

“Good food, nice view, poor service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

We enjoyed the food, although it has a limited lunch menu. However, the service was painful at times and it wasn't even that busy. The Goodyear Blimp could have landed at our table and our waiter would not have even noticed. Step up the service and we'll return.

“Consistent Value”

Bocanova is one of our favorite restaurants-It provides quality food in a lively environment. Be sure to try their sweet potato gratin and roasted chicken!

“Nice!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

Service was friendly, helpful and efficient. Food was interesting and well prepared. The pork tenderloin was perfectly cooked, nicely dressed with just enough jicama salad and tamarind sauce to add texture and flavor but not overwhelm the juicy meat. The sweet potato gratin and brussel sprouts were generously portioned and tasty. Do wish everything had been a tad warmer, especially the lamb. Succulent and flavorful, the lamb shanks needed warmth the play down their richness. The house made ice cream was a delight with churros and chocolate sauce, the perfect light and playful ending to a delightful meal.
