“Farmers Market”

on Sundays (especially on a sunny day) is a delight here. Add in some great shops (try Baia pasta, for example) and great restaurants (Haven, Bocanova and more) for evening time and you have a winner along the Oakland estuary. Check to see if there is a special event too (the "Eat Real Festival" for example or the lighted boat parade during Xmas time.

“Nice place in Oakland”

Jack London Square is nice; the restaurants and bars are decent and the atmoshpere is fine. If you are in the area it is a good place to go but not worth a special trip

“On the water”

It was busier, from what I can recall. It us a nice place to lounge and have a meal. It isn't Oakland's prime destination spot, but it is a stop. There is a free shuttle bus that'll carry along broadway and down to the square.

Nothing to do there. Most stores are closed or don't exist. No where to park free. I liked the weather. I disliked the stores

It is well on it's way to achieving the respect and attention it deserves. a few empty storefronts still to fill
