“Careful booking on mobile internet”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013

I have been coming here for a few years now, but when we walked in to check in we were told we had 3 rooms reserved. It was just me and my wife. obviously we did not need 3 rooms. I have booked many hotels online for several years now. I have gone through all of my emails and can only find confirmation for one room. The big problem is that I was forced to pay early check out for two rooms for a cost of $50.00. As a repeat customer I thought this was absolutely wrong, I will not be using this hotel or the chain again.

We stayed here two nights while visiting the area. We have stayed at other hotels in Oakhurst and wanted to try Americas Best Value Inn. The staff was friendly, and when I complained about the dark gray deposits in the bathtub the manager said she would address it. I was told it was from the hard water there. Cleanliness of the room was questionable, the rest of the tub looked clean except for the width of the tub above the drain. Also, there were water marks below the handrails in the tub. The bathroom floor was sticky and you left footprints on the tile, the wallpaper behind the toilet cover had a large brown stain on it, the edges of the night stand were sticky, the carpet had dirty spots and needed cleaning. The bed was not that comfortable, the thin mattress pad did not fit the kingsize bed and the bottom sheet did not stay tucked in. After tossing around to get comfortable I had a wad of sheet under me. The bath towels were thin and rough, so you can exfoliate while drying off.
The continental breakfast was okay, the pastries were soft and you have a selection of four (4 each) dry cereals, pastries and juice drinks, or fresh waffles. They also had coffee, tea and bread for toast. No fresh fruit.
The free WiFi was fast and provided a strong signal on the property. We were booked into a handicap room so it was very roomy and would accommodate a wheelchair in the room and bath.
Caution: The room door did not close and latch unless you Pull/push it closed!!! I noticed another door that was not completely closed.
We will be staying elsewhere next time.

We've been one night in this place. The room was very big, clean and quiet. We got WiFi for free. Friendly staff. Good, continental breakfast. Very close to town (shops, restaurants etc.). Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Our travel agency booked all the hotels for our trip through West USA. I read reviews of this hotel and was prepared for the worst when checking in. But there was absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel. The things that I find most important was there; clean, warm water, fast wifi, comfy bed.
The girls at the front desk were very pleasant. The breakfast was simple, but I'm glad it was included. Most hotels didn't offer a complimentary breakfast.
So a good price and hotel for your stay in Yosemite.

Stayed here for 4 nights while visiting Yosmite National Park. Before booking here you should know that the hotel is approximately 40minutes drive to the South Entrance of Yosemite. Once at the entrance, be prepared to drive for another 40mins to the Yosmite Valley and Visitor Centre. If you cant bear the driving, I would not suggest staying here on anywhere in Oakhurst, rather you should stay in the hotels within the park but be prepared to pay a lot more. That said, if you hav never been to YNP before, the daily drive provdes beautiful views and scenery and gives you a chance to spot for bears (we saw one on the driv in) The rooms are fairly clean if dated and could do with a few licks of paint. The rooms have N iron, microwave and decent sized fridge. The beds were comfortable if slightly on the firm side. But the bedding was very warm and comfortable. One of the lams in the room did not have a bulb but there was enough other lighting to make up for it. The bathroom is a nice size and shampoo, body lotion and conditioner are provided and replenished daily. Free wifi is provided but unless you have a room next to or near the reception, you will not benefit from it at all as the signal completely cuts off around 100 yards from the reception area. The local area is safe but very quiet, Oakhurst is a small quiet town! However there is a Raleys supermarket, Macdonalds and many other food establishments and amenities fairly nearby and within walking distance. The hotel is located on the edge of the town and is the last building before the highway. Noise wasnt an issue and the breakfast was decent; fresh waffles on request, cereals, toast and jams, juics and tea and coffee (although hot tea and coffee may need to be requested if the hot water has cooled down) the staff are friendly and helpful and free parking is provided. Good value, but only stay here if you are looking to sleep and be out all day. If you want a hotel to spend time during the day, Id stay somewher else.

Check in was fast, service was good. The receptionist was friendly and chatty. The room was surprisingly clean and comfortable, I only stayed for one night, and while there was nothing exceptional about this hotel it was better than I was hoping. I would definitely recommend it.

We are not fond of this chain of hotels but it was the best of this chain. Comfortable beds and very clean. It was close to Yosemite, unless you wanted to stay in the park itself. There were several nearby resturants and they provided a pleasant breakfast.
