We spent two nights at this Charming B&B in Yosemite. From my first email contact with Judy I found her to be extremely helpful and friendly. On arrival she gave us all the information needed for our stay in Yosemite. The room was clean and the bed exceptionally comfortable. We ordered her 'special' picnic lunch for our day trip to Yosemite and it was great! I work in the hotel industry and would have no hesitation in recommending Vultures View to any prospective guest. Thank you Judy for a wonderful stay.

Judy welcomed us on arrival and gave us the "low down" on what to see and do in Yosemite -- an hour's drive along twisty two-lane highway in the middle of stunning scenery. On our way to our room ("I've given you an upgrade with a view") we spotted a large deer running through the garden. We English city-types were fascinated and trying to juggle our luggage and get our cameras out in time for the big nature picture "They're here all the time, I take no notice" said Judy as she continued to lead the way to Room 2: the room with a view.

We were warned to keep the door closed at night and not just rely on the screen to protect us from the other wildlife that was likely to visit the verandah/porch "We get possum, skunk and racoon coming up here so it's up to you -- just don't leave food around". The view... what can I say? it is lovely and when we had settled into our accommodation we watched the vultures soaring on the thermals before cracking a bottle to sip while watching the sun set behind the mountains sheltering Oakhurst.

Room 2 had a double bed and was equipped with fridge and microwave. Breakfast was "DIY" with muffins, fresh fruit, milk, orange juice yoghourt, cereal and a Mr Coffee for the necessary caffeine. Judy offered to replenish our stock of food supplies on request "I don't read minds so tell me!" The food was good quality and we had enough to keep us going until lunchtime

We liked the informality and the option of having "breakfast" at any time in almost any quantity. An early start to the drive to Yosemite (another good tip from Judy) meant that we were ready to eat around 06:00 (well before most business class hotels start their service). Judy was very helpful and knowledgeable about the local opportunities for evening meals. She also helped us when car trouble meant our exit was delayed. All in all a lovely stay at a great place with a landlady who seemed like a friend after a few minutes.

The only down-side? We saw that dratted deer visiting twice more during our stay but the camera was never on hand!

We stayed in room 1 for 3 nights. The room is like a small cabin, not just a room and the private porch adds to the feeling of space and privacy. Judy gave us a warm welcome and excellent advice on Yosemite and Bass Lake, both of which we visited. We also followed her recommendations for eating locally and had great take outs from Big Todd's BBQ Shack which we enjoyed sitting out on the porch watching the setting sun. The hot tub just added to the comfort and relaxation. Judy is on hand if you need anything but leaves you to enjoy your stay and respects your privacy.
Our only suggestion for improvement would be an alternative to the chocolate chip muffins for those with a less sweet tooth but this is just a minor issue and we didn't bother to ask for rolls or something different as there was plenty of fruit, yoghurts and a range of cereals. As we're travelling around California and staying in a range of small inns, hotels and B&Bs, the extra space, tranquility and beauty at Vulture's View was really appreciated.

during our recent stay at Vultures View! We can't say that about every b&b we have ever been to...in fact, we debated about staying at the nearby Chukchansi Resort just to be on the "safe side" however, we are so glad that we ventured a little farther to Vulture's View instead!
We stayed in Room 1, which in my opinion, was well worth the extra money! book it! Judy was the perfect hostess, very hospitable, without being overbearing. She showed us to our clean and spacious room, to which we immediately made ourselves at home, by opening every window to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful view.
We also enjoyed a little stroll around the property and a relaxing soak in the hot tub watching the sunset. The continental style breakfast available in our room was just our style!! As we, leisurely made our own coffee and appreciated it, while enjoying the views on the privacy of our deck. Our room's fridge was well stocked with fresh fruit, yogurt, orange juice, milk, special birthday dessert, and also offered, pantry items like, granola, cereal, and big fat chocolate chip muffins! what's not to love about that?
In short, it was:
1. private!
2. and peaceful!
3. with pleasing mountain views!
