“I would hire these guys!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

I went to a funeral today in Fresno, CA. The family had a BBQ luncheon for all that attended the Memorial Service. They chose the favorite restaurant of the deceased to cater the luncheon. Todd's Barbeque of Oakhurst did a fantastic job. The meats-Beef, Pork, Chicken-and Beans were hot, the breads fresh, the salads were delicious, and the sauce was excellent. Everyone was satisfied and delighted by the quality of Todd's food and service. I have eaten in the restaurant on Hwy 41 in Oakhurst and always I am pleased, but it is good to know they do an excellent job catering. I would hire these guys!

“So good, we doubled-back through the snow!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2012

We come from a family background of Texas and New Orleans and this place hit it on the nose with the items on their menu. I had the chili with onions and cheese one night and the jambalaya another night. My husband tried the catfish, gumbo, ribs and hotwings. Everything was lip-smackin' good. The jambalaya had just the right amount of spicy kick. The gumbo had a nice dark rue, as it should. And the smoke flavor from the wood on those ribs....AWESOME!

The atmosphere is like a rustic southern backyard barn feel. There's blues and country music playing and roasted peanuts on all the tables. On the "Back Porch" there is a large flat screen t.v., usually playing sports.

Merlot or Chardonnay is served in disposable plastic cups or you can have a good ole bottle of beer.

The staff was very friendly and attentive.

There aren't many choices for good home-cooked food in this town so, I would not pass up Todd's. You would truly miss out on a hidden treat and as we say down south "good eatin'".

This place is a gem. A lot like Memphis Style BBQ with a touch of Carolinas. Got a good T-Shirt from them also.

“Awesome southern BBQ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2012 via mobile

I am a local and this is the best food in town at any price. Small place, great staff and everything on the menu is excellent. Great daily specials! Never disappointed. Brisket is amazing, great jambalaya, wonderful catfish, gumbo is the best! Give it a try, you won't be sorry.

“Local yokel review”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

I try to limit my visit to twice a week. I used to eat here almost everyday. So much so that they created an special sandwich for me called the "Billie Philly"! It's a chopped smoked chicken breast with grilled peppers and onions with melted cheese on a nice soft grilled roll smeared with chipotle mayo. Ask for it by name cause its not listed on menu but Ooh-La-La so damn good. Alice will know what you mean and if you get Todd working the grill it is even more awesome as he just has a great feel with food.
