I stayed at Haven of Rest with my sister and 24 year old niece for one night. We had searched for a place to accommodate the three of us just outside the park and the options were very scarce. We couldn't have been happier. The 3 bedroom suite (large master bedroom, living room with sofa bed and bathroom) are spacious, comfortable and clean. There is even a flat screen t.v. so we were able to watch the Olympics. The breakfast served on the patio was excellent. Mike and Jody are friendly but not intrusive. The location is only 20 minutes from the southern entrance to the park where the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias in located. After visiting the Grove, we stopped at Glacier Point and then entered the Yosemite valley where we stayed the following night.

We stayed at this B and B the last couple of nights - recommend highly.

The pros:
1. Very clean, nicely furnished (plush, doesn't feel at all like vacation furniture)
2. Very plush towels, very comfortable bed.
3. Spacious and sound - proof. You really have a suite, with a living room and bedroom. There is also a microwave and small fridge. Plus, they make sure to tell you the walls are thick, not to worry about sound, which is great, especially for us as we have a 10-month old baby.
4. Perfect baby-place. If you happen to have a baby who is crawling around, this is a perfect place as between the carpeting and the plush furniture, it is almost impossible to get hurt.

A couple of small cons -

1. Food is just ok. It is not terrible, but don't expect gourmet either. It is somewhere in the middle. The coffee wasn't great - and I look a good coffee. I didn't comment to owners, so it is possible they had something better had I asked.

2. The A/C either blows hard or is off. You can maneuver the vents and this wasn't a huge deal, but it seemed to be either blowing hard or off completely, could be we didn't invest enough time looking at it.

Overall recommend this for folks looking for a very comfortable place, with great bedding/bed/towels/furniture, and friendly although not overly outgoing hosts.

We spent 2 nights in this BB. It is a bit far away from the valley, but the rooms are big and clean, the breakfast is huge (great for a hicking day) and Jody and Mike are very kind. Our 7 years old daugher and ourselvers enjoyed the complimentary hot tub. It was great after hard hicking in the valley. A great plus: When we arrived the house our national flag (Spain) was waving from the mast. Amazing!

I stayed with my wife and two kids (3 and 5) at Haven of Rest. I was expecting a lot because of the reviews and it was even better than I expected. The room is great and spacious. Breakfast is delicious. We (specially the kids) enjoyed the private jacuzzi after long days hiking at Yosemite. But, most of all, we were impressed with Mike and Jody. They are great host. Extremelly helpfull and at the same time discrete. Great experience
