We would never have found this gem without TripAdvisor reviews and we see now why people rave about the Bay Shores. We stayed 2 nights with our two teenagers in their suite (unit 100). We had a large living area with full dining table for 6, a queen bed, two sofas and a half bath. In addition was a separate bedroom with a king bed, and a large full bath with double sinks. Very comfortable beds and great shower.
Our room was spotless and when we arrived a card was on the bed welcoming us. The staff are just as wonderful as everyone says and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The location of this hotel is wonderful with a quick stroll to the bay, the beach and Newport Pier. Lots of restaurants near by, bike rental and easy 10 min drive to Newports Fashion Island for great shopping. Breakfast was good each morning and coffee and tea were available all day, not to mention the 3pm freshly baked cookies. We loved our time at Bay Shores and would highly recommend this wonderful, hospitable hotel. Oh, and we arrived home to a postcard thanking us for our stay.

First visted May 2011 and have been back twice since then, Fall 2011 and Spring 2012. Spring time brought other family members (mid 20's) and they loved the place too. Hotel and staff GREAT as always and we'll be back again.

It's a perfectly nice, clean place to stay with nice staff, free parking, free wifi and a great breakfast. Our only complaints are (at least in our standard queen room) they had a funky shower head that wasn't very pleasant and the large windows faced the sun (in room 207) and didn't have black out curtains that you could close. So in the morning you better have an eye mask or the sun will shine thru the thin curtains and wake you up.

I love this little hotel! Exceptionally clean, well appointed rooms and public spaces. The staff is EXCELLENT! Bridget is just about the nicest person I met while in California for a week on business, she is a gem! The hotel is close to the beach, but watch the sunset from the 4th floor sun deck, very relaxing! The fresh hot cookies at 3 pm are only rivaled by the abundant breakfast served in a quaint nook each morning. Definitely will return!
