I order the baby artichokes for lunch - it's one of my favorite Italian dishes. In my experience, both in Italy and here, they are always served whole, halved perhaps, with flavorful olive oil. So I was shocked when presented with a pale pile of well-chopped vegetables, apparently artichokes. The artichokes could not be distinguished from the Parmesan cheese - they were identical in pale color. They were cold and appeared to be uncooked - the pale pieces were actually crunchy. They had no artichoke flavor (in fact, no flavor at all). Basically inedible. I gave this restaurant two stars only because my friend liked her pasta. We spread the artichoke (?) dish over her pasta since it could not really be eaten otherwise. The waiter was nice, but I would never go to this restaurant again.
