We were there last night for Taco Tuesday. It was disappointing. The place was not busy and had only a few customers. The tacos were only fair and the tortillas were cold. We shared three tacos for $5 (one chicken, one beef and one breaded fish) and did not order more. (Taco Tuesday at the El Ranchito, two blocks away...all you can eat tacos, small bean and cheese burritos, etc for $5....is much better than this.) We ordered three different pints of beer. One was fairly good, the other two were poor to fair. The beer was reasonably cold but it appeared they were served in print glasses at room temperature. We ordered a small garlic ranch pizza. This place has a wood-fired pizza oven and, except that the ranch sauce on the pizza was cold, the pizza was good. The wood-fired pizza oven is probably the biggest plus this place has going for it.
A number of years ago we would occasionally have dinner here. Now, several years later, the place is run down, junky, dark, over decorated and almost depressing. I always ask myself, "What is the most important thing that a brewery should do well?" Make great beer! This brewery used to make an occasional good beer amid a group of so-so beers. It appears that they are not even doing that now. We won't return.
