I met my girlfriend, who is now my wife, at this smart looking restaurant six years ago. I took her there again last night for our one-year wedding anniversary. Although the overall noise level is a bit overwhelming when you enter the restaurant (7PM), it can be overcome somewhat with a bit of patience and understanding that it's bar scene offers an exceptional CA wine list while being very popular with patrons at least two-deep.
Our service was attentive, professional and very friendly (the kitchen has improved greatly since we had dinner there several years ago). The calamari appetizer was fried with red pepper, but not greasy as so many are. My succulent chicken breast was seasoned perfectly. My wife's filet mignon was cooked just the way she likes it, "black 'n blue" :chared on the outside to about 1600 degrees and rare everywhere else. I don't know how else to enjoy such a grand cut of meat!
I gave Flemings a heads up about our celebration, and our waitress, Pamela, provided an assortment of fresh cupped desserts that were perfect to end with after such a big meal.
I have to say that it is crowded for a reason, so dinner reservations are almost imperative.
