“Maybe they have a new chef”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2014

We have been going here for lunch for two years now. We live two hours away, so every time we are in Newport we eat here, and usually order our favorite sandwiches. The last time was about four months ago. Last weekend, we had the crispy fish sandwich as usual. Right away we both noticed the the breading was thicker and spicier, and perhaps they changed the fish. It was not the wow we always have. I asked for the shoestring french fries; they don't have that anymore, but I have to say what they served was fresh, crunchy and delicious. We love sitting in the outside patio, and the staff is attentive and friendly.

“Great lunch with friends!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2014

Recently stopped in for lunch with a buddy I hadn't seen in years. Fried grouper sandwich?! Here? Awesome! Usually only see those in Florida..loved it! Buddy had a cheeseburger and said it was terrific! We sat on the shaded and comfortable patio. Service was impeccable and pricing not typical Newport silliness! Will definitely be back!

“Always a Winner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014 via mobile

I never come to Newport without a stop here. Great wines and cocktails with a wonderful mix of American standards like burgers and fries mixed with oysters, fresh fish. The grilled artichoke is my hands down favorite and the staff is friendly and professional.

“Little Loud”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

Visited Gulfstream for dinner. The bar was really full and close to the restaurant. This made it a little loud at the table and difficult to have a conversation. Food was good but the wine selection was lacking.

“Vibrant scene!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2014 via mobile

Just came back from dinner at Gulfstream, our first time. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. First, they took reservations, second, our server (a girl originally for Texas) was pleasant and didn't rush us. Third, she was accurate about how they prepared their salmon and my friend & I were able to request it cooked more than medium rare, it was excellent! Only drawback is it is a bit loud, but most restaurants are in Orange County. However, I would highly recommend it!!
