“Fall off the bone ribs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

I have been visiting this restaurant for the last 5 years. The food is always good and consistent as is the service.
I really enjoy the artichokes when they are in season which paired with a good sauvignon blanc is a wonderful treat.
The ribs are great and paired with the skinny french fries the combination is wonderful. You dont even have to pick up the ribs, you just touch tham with the fork and they fall off the bone.
for a nice casual dinner or lunch this place is hard to beat.

“In One Year an Ahi Burger went from $14.00 to $19.00 ! OUTRAGEOUS”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

This CHAIN restaurant was Good ! Not Great ! BUT it is no longer WORTH the Outlandish prices the Corporate Management seems to think it can SQUEEZE out of their Clients ! The prices have been Drastically Raised numerous times in a one year period ! It is now OUTRAGEOUS that a sandwich with some french fries, or coleslaw which was priced $14.00 a year ago was raised to $16.00 then recently to $19.00 Dollars... An Ice tea is $4.00, and side is $6.00.... Is it worth it? NO WAY ! It's almost $30.00 for a sandwich, and drink with tip, and tax !!! After taking a long look at the NEW menu, I Walked out of the place on the principle, and will never return.... Everything is way overpriced for the value, and quality ! They have the Nerve to keep raising their prices when they were OVERPRICED to begin with... They won't last... and now they lost a very good repeat customer because of their GREED... ! Forgetaboutit !

“Newport Chowder is Excellent...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

After an afternoon matinee at the Laguna Playhouse we were headed up the coast looking for a suitable early dinner and drove past Gulfstream. The outside terrace looked inviting, but we decided to dine indoors. Our waitress was very friendly, the hostess couldnt have been nicer. We both started with the Newport Chowder which was excellent. It was a very flavorful dish, with croutons, bacon on top and lots of clams and fish with every bite. The biscuits are a delicious surprise. The cedar plank salmon was perfectly cooked. We will return.

“Lunch with my Family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

I came with my Mom and Dad the Sunday before Christmas for lunch. We all had the beef short ribs. Also got a side of the biscuits. My Dad does usually not eat french fries but, he ate all that were on his plate. I had only eaten here once before and only had a appetizer. I am happy I returned and tried a full meal. This place is pricey but I think it is nice for a special occasion.
