“Average Deli”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

Foods average, prices are high. It's an OK stop if you're at Kohl's and you don't want to drive to another area, but lots of other choices within walking distance.

“good, but too expensive”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

Went for lunch today. The sandwich was good, but too expensive. I spent $12.50 on a sandwich, chips and a pepsi. There are so many more delis in the nearby Hill neighborhood that are much less expensive and better.

“Great Place to Stop for Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

We've been to Pickles a couple times now, and each time was excellent.

The service was prompt and courteous, and they make you feel comfortable to ask them anything.

I had eggs, hash browns, bacon, and toast. Sound simple? Well, they made it heavenly, especially the hash browns. The outside was crispy, the inside, soft and golden, and every bite was full of flavor.

My son had the Mexican omelet, and he gives it 5 stars. He says it wasn't just very good - it was excellent.

This is a casual place, and they have TVs throughout the place that's usually showing some type of football, which is a plus.

It's not library-quiet, nor is it rock-concert loud - the atmosphere was perfect.

We'll definitely be back!

“Love their Pickles”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

This restaurant is quite close to the Marriott Courtyard in Thousand Oaks. It is located on the back-side of a small "strip-mall."
There are handicapped spots available. However, they as well as the other parking slots are shared with other businesses. However, on both of out visits we had no problem with parking.
The entire staff is friendly and efficient. We were greeted and then thanked on our way out.
The wait-staff was always buzzing around the dining area which features tables and booths. It appeared to us that there was a great deal of cooperation between the waiters; bringing the pickles, refilling drinks and serving the food.
There are a large number of ceiling mounted TV's; tuned to sports channels. Sound was muted so you could watch but not listen.
This restaurant has a large menu for either eat-in or take-out. In addition there is a Deli counter near the front door for "to go" items should you wish to assemble your own "picnic" basket.
The clientele was a mix of families, young singles and seniors. Prices were moderate and the portions generous. My wife and I will certainly revisit "Pickles" on our next visit to T.O.
