We recently stayed two nights late week at the Residence Inn and we were very pleased with everything about our stay, especially the $84 a night rate! We chose the smallest studio available for our family of three, and it turned out to be very spacious, attractive and clean. The bed was comfortable, and the sofa bed was perfectly adequate and comfortable for our three year old son. We loved having the full kitchen (including fridge with freezer), although we took advantage of the hot breakfast they served every morning. It was yet another pleasant bonus. The do-it-yourself Belgian waffles were terrific (and popular! There was a line of people waiting for them both mornings...), and the pancakes, french toast, eggs, fresh fruit, sausage, assorted juices and milks, cereals and pastries were far superior to what we were expecting for a free breakfast. We didn't take advantage of the evening meal, but it did smell nice as we were passing through the lobby. Another thing we really appreciated about this property is that each wing has multiple entrances, so you don't have to go all the way out through the lobby each time you come and go. The only complaint we had is that on our second night there a very noisy family checked into the room next to ours around 2 a.m. We we were able to hear their conversions quite clearly, so the walls of the rooms are on the thin side. This is primarily a business hotel, and the rates are more than double what we paid during the first three days of the week. We stayed on a Thurs and Fri night, and we noticed many other families taking advantage of the drop in rates for the weekend. It is definitely family-friendly and has a beautiful pool and tennis court, even a dog-run! Marriott has thought of everything. We were so impressed that we will absolutely search for Residence Inns first when we are planning our weekend get-aways.
