I decided to book this hotel since it was a reasonably priced extended stay hotel and I had read some pretty good reviews about it. I did not like that it is a bit far from San Francisco, but the price was right.
When I arrived at the hotel and checked in, I discovered that the office/front desk is separate from the actual building where my room would be. So I had to drive over to the building to unload. I do prefer hotels where the front desk is in the same building. I did not want to have to walk across the parking lot to use their business center and other things. You do need your room key to access your building. The parking lot had alot of trash around though and the hallways inside seemed a bit dim.
I entered my room and it appeared very clean and in good order. The bathroom door would not stay open. When you walk in the bathroom, the door swings behind you. The room was pretty big though, with a full kitchen.
What completely turned me off was the teenagers roaming in and out of the building. They were very noisy in the halls and were hanging around the stairwell and going in and out of the building. I'm not sure if they were even staying there. I did not feel safe going to my car to unload. And I knew I would not get any sleep if I had to deal with noisy neighbors.
So I decided to check out. This hotel may be ok for a family or couple, but not for a female traveling alone, like myself. I eventually found another extended stay in the area that suited my needs. But I will not stay at this Towneplace Suites again.
