This is one of the smallest W Hotels in its chain. Originally built as a Residence Inn and then at the last minute switched to a W, it still offers all the modern touches of W. From the outside, it looks like a Residence Inn since it is only has 3 floors. It is located in a business park but is easy to get to Palo Alto and Stanford. It is very nice. The staff is great. The pool is the best part of the hotel wit sand by the pool, making it feel like a beach. This is a great hotel and the prices are reasonable for a W.

This is one of the better values for a W hotel. Admittedly, this place is really out in the middle of nowhere but its within easy driving of San Fracisco, Palo Alto and Carmel. Good launching point for the Bay Area. Our room was huge with a living room for less than I pay at most W's and Morgan hotels. Very good experience.

The W-Silicon valley is a great suburban hotel. Finding a great weekend rate to stay around the Bay Area was a big incentive to stay at this hotel. From the outside it is unspectacular, reminding you of a typical courtyard or residence Inn. But once you set foot inside, it is definetly a W. The rooms are large and spacious, has a mini kitchen and sitting area. Basic amenities include the TV, DVD player, but the special touch was sirius satellite radio in room.... The Bed was typical W, which means great!!! the bathroom is large with seperate bath and shower with a double head shower head. But the greatest part of this hotel is the staff. They are extremely attentive, as we requested extra bottles of Voss (which is provided complimentary) which were delivered in a matter of minutes. Additionally I had forgotten my phone charger as we checked out one trip and the W offered to hold it for me as I had a visit planned in the following two weeks or to have it fedex'd to me. I opted for the to simply hold it, and it was there waiting for me when I arrived. This hotel is truely a jewel in middle of suburbia.

I got a great non-smoking room on top floor(5th).
Room is really big, seating area, little kitchen (no oven). Great bathroom but found hairs in the bathtub.

Bed was really comfortable, I wish I had the same one at home ! TV has a dvd player and a free video library is available to all guests. (Did not use it).

The pool wasn't enough warm to swim in :( The ocean was probably warmer ! But the spa was hot enough to enjoy it. Their unique fireplace wasn't working, the desk clerk told me they were out of gas. I'm not sure it's the true reason. The pool, spa, fitness room doesn't have a sauna / dressing room.

I asked for a second bathrobe and got it in less than 15 minutes.

We could ear tv from the room behind the bed.
Sound proofing wasn't really great.
If the other room was using their toilet or sink, I would ear it and it was really loud.

Too bad this hotel isn't kept as good as it could be, it's a W, it should be better !
