Lefty's used to be at a different location and a lot of people were concerned when they moved to this one because, as nice as it is, it's been a bad-luck spot for the five restaurants that preceded it here in less than nine years. But Lefty's seems to have broken the mold.
The bar is upstairs. You can eat there at the bar, or a few tall tables, or a couple of standard tables. There's also a small deck outside where you can sit. The main dining-room is downstairs, though.
The downstairs has a fireplace in one corner - a real, wood-burning one - that is often lit in the winter. there are tables both inside and out on the deck, some with umbrellas. Below the deck is the Deer Creek, so it's a very pleasant spot if you're in the shade.
The menu offers a variety of foods - starters, sandwiches, meal salads, burgers, and dinner entrees. All of it is generously portioned and tasty. I especially like the albacore poke starter, which is a decent small meal for me. I also like the Vietnamese seared tuna salad. The cheeseburger salad is very good but is too much food for almost everyone so it's a good one to share.
Bar service is available.
Service is friendly and competent.
Prices are reasonable, although my favorite Vietnamese seared tuna salad is $17, but it's a big meal with a lot of protein.
The place is big enough that we've never had a problem being seated, even without a reservation.
