“Too Inconvenient, poor value”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

We stayed here along Route 66, the only positives are that while the staff were as helpful and friendly as can be and the room was clean and up to Best Western Standard - I wouldn't stay there again. It was one hassle after another with the WiFi only allowing 1 connection at a time so we got a second password which for some reason would only connect to one device and so on; and don't plan on having breakfast and getting away fairly quickly the next morning. Yeah the free breakfast is at an ok restaurant next door, but you've only got 2 choices and have to wait for your order to be taken then wait for delivery then wait for the bill. It was the 2nd most expensive Motel we stayed at in 3 weeks travelling (and most of those were with Best Western) and absolutely the worst value of ANY Best Western we've stayed at.

Room Tip: There are only stairs so if all they have left is upstairs be prepared to haul those big bags up and...

We have recently upgraded our WIFI so that multiple devices can be used for each log in. Our challenge was bandwidth.

Hotel was good; however it is a bit more than others and should have been upgraded more (like a flat screen TV). Our fridge did not work, but everything else was fine. When making the reservations I mistakenly put one individual down on the booking and the front desk person wanted to charge an additional fee for my wife. The best part of the stay was the breakfast next door at Jucy's - the best free hotel breakfast I have ever had. They include oatmeal / cereal or scrambled eggs breakfast (or 20% off anything else on menu). We went with the free scrambled eggs - which were done perfectly, hash browns, fresh biscuit and coffee. Everything was great and filling.

I apologize for the misunderstanding. Our rates are based on occupancy as it is a little more work to clean up and feed additional people. Rates are $5 per additional adult. Our partnership of 3 options with Juicy's is a great breakfast for our guests. Thanks

On our annual cross-country trip, we've found a convenient overnight stop is in Needles. Ever been to Needles? There's not a whole lot to recommend it, but the BW Colorado River Inn is THE
place to stay when you find yourself in Needles. In the past we'd stayed at another property nearby, which was noisy and inconvenient, so the Best Western definitely has that place beat. Super-friendly staff and nice, clean, if modest, rooms makes this a fine overnight option. They offer complimentary breakfast and a discount for dinner at the restaurant next door (Juicy's), so it's hard to beat that combo.

Room Tip: We had a room on the "back side," as opposed to the same side as the office, and it was qu...

When you travel a lot like I do, a good clean room and friendly helpful staff makes a world of difference. That is what sets this motel apart from any other place we have ever stayed.

The price is fair and the service is excellent and it never changes, you can always count on this Best Western to be a top notch place to visit.

I have read the other reviews and for the most part they all agree that this motel is very good. There are always people that will find some excuse to complain, and I feel sorry for them because life is to short to be like that.

This is a very good place and if there is a problem they will fix it right away. They give you two free morning breakfasts at the restaurant next door, and a discount for a evening meal and like everything else the food is great.

The rooms were clean with reasonable rates. Slightly more expensive than other hotels where we've stayed in Needles, but worth it. Breakfast is at the hotel next store. Coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator in the room. Newly painted, nicely appointed.

This was a decent place to stay in an area with not many great choices. The rooms are average, relatively clean, with some train noise if you are on the back side of the motel. Staff was friendly and the free breakfast was well above average.

Nearing the end of a three week road trip with our dog. We've had great experiences following tripadvisor recommendations the whole trip .. until now. Our room, while good sized, smelled of urine. The check in clerk was bland, not hostile but far from welcoming. Towels are thin, bed linens have seen better days. Carpet doesn't seem very clean. Soap / shampoo from dispensers. WARNING: We were called at 10:30 pm by someone purporting to be the desk clerk asking us to bring out credit card to the front desk b/c they had a power outage and lost our CC number. When we refused he tried to get us to give him the number on the phone. When I (rather firmly I fear) told him to go climb a rope he gave up. I mentioned the call to the desk clerk the following am and she blithely stated they had calls like that sometimes and we could always turn our phone off if we wished.

Let me start by apologizing for whoever called and tried to get your personal information over the phone. We would never call your room and ask for that. Travelers should be very careful wherever they are staying to protect their information. We have many programs and have done extensive training regarding identity theft. I can assure you that your information is safe with us. I am sorry you were not happy with your stay. We try very hard to make everyone's stay pleasant. As you can tell by our reviews your experience is not usual. Again I apologize on behalf of my staff, I willspeak with her regarding this.
