“Good standard rooms with friendly service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013 via mobile

Only stayed for one night traveling through Napa. Rooms nice but somewhat boring. Pool / outdoor area is the main draw for serious relaxing with a glass of wine. Parking not optimal, but not a big deal.

This hotel has a bland exterior but a nice interior with good rooms. The service had some lapses, particularly when ordering in the courtyard. However, that was my only complaint. I liked the restuarant and the courtyard and pool. Wine reception was very nice as well. Well located right off the main drag. Somewhat expensive, but stayed during season, so was expected. Would stay again.

Room Tip: rooms by pario are best.

We find ourselves using this Marriott as one of our regular hotels when traveling to Napa. The location is very central to downtown Napa and close enough to the wineries by St. Helena. Best to get courtyard views. The outdoor patio with fire pits are nice while enjoying the daily wine receptions. The concierge breakfast is hearty with several hot items and fresh fruit, etc. Concierge is always helpful for wine tour recommendations. Overall a good value except high demand dates. Can be in the upper $300's at those times which tends to be too overpriced.

Hi Grace! We are happy to hear we have become one of your regular Napa Valley hotels. We like to think of ourselves as a good home base for both downtown Napa and the plethora of wineries just north of the hotel. We really appreciate your visits, and know there will be a glass waiting for you near the fire pits the next time you are in town. Cheers!

Went up for 30 hours (one night stay) to get away from city life. Very enjoyable. Never left the hotel -- breakfast, lunch, dinner here. Onsite restaurant was good enough. Really enjoyed the poolside service. No glass bottles allowed, but still could pour beers and wine into plastic cups. Rooms were good enough. Definitely recommended. Great for families, singles, anyone. We'll be back.

We recently got married in Napa and had a room block at the Napa Valley Marriott Hotel and Spa. This hotel not only has a great spa, convenient location and comfortable rooms, it couldn't have been better for our large group. The patio/pool area is perfect for eating meals and gathering at night for an evening cocktail and group laughter. The restaurant is delicious and provides nicer "wine country meals" than most hotels. Outside there are fire pits, comfy couches and a great atmosphere. We were thrilled as without any planning, everyone always ended up meeting outside in this common area and had a place to sit, gather and catch up with old and new friends. Will (don't know his last name) who served us on numerous occasions on the outside patio was extremely helpful, accommodating and kind. Diane Stonework who helped me with the group room block also was very helpful and available for all my questions both before we arrived and while staying. She was great to work with!! Blossom was also fantastic and so helpful and generous with our group the entire time we were there. We will definitely be back to stay and will recommend the Marriott to friends who didn't get to join us for our wedding.

Room Tip: The interior rooms that look at the pool and have a patio are great. Our favorite rooms are the one...

Large chain hotels can often disappoint - but not in this case. A super hotel on the outskirts of Napa. Service is top class. The restaurant is particularly good providing high quality food at a realistic price. Use this hotel if you want to visit Napa or Sonoma.

Hi David! Thank you for your feedback on our beloved Marriott, and especially for the shout out about our restaurant, VINeleven. We are all about high quality, seasonal ingredients and source them from our own on-site culinary garden whenever possible. And to your point, quality like that should not break the bank. Cheers to you and your family!

Our Hotel stay was excellent everyone was so kind and Blossom Price at the Registration was absolutely wonderful. The grounds were clean and a room was great.

The only thing I would suggest is to have more servers outside at breakfast time. It seemed like we waited for ever every morning for someone to take our order.

This would not stop me from coming back to the Hotel. It was still wonderful.

Room Tip: We were there for a wedding. We all had different locations and I never heard one complaint from an...

Hi Cristy! Thanks for the shout out about our awesome Blossom! She is a force of nature in the realm of graceful service. I agree with your assessment of servers at breakfast, and appreciate your feedback very much. We will do a better job making sure there are plenty of folks available to expedite that very important meal. Cheers to you and enjoy the rest of your summer.
